So I set up my own home gym, but what should I do so I can ohp and deadlift on a shitty wood floor?
Stall mats and plywood
why the fuck does the floor matter when you OHP

this lmao
>>34846243
Bad wording. They were separate but even then the question was retarded and obvious, My bad senpai.

oh I get what you mean now.
So there's no way to put the hooks on the rack so they face outwards? You can on a lot of power racks but yours looks different
Otherwise I guess you just have to clean the bar to your chest, and then press
Unless ofc youre a manlet and can OHP inside the rack

1. How much do you squat?
2. Get rid of that rack and get a half rack
3. buy a couple of heavy rubber mats - I like the ones made out of recycled car tyres.
Problem solved.
rubber
nice floor bro, thats real hardwood right? im thinking about installing something like that in my home

I'll go further than that post and say get rid of that piece of shit rack entirely and re design your set up
>diagonal holes
>overhead weight storage
>not enought storage for 20s/15/10/5/2.5 without having to play towers of hanoi
>non-ipf dimension bench
>storing barbells vertically
>setting deadlift weights parallel to hardwood flooring not perpendicular
>>34846443
No you can't switch sides on the rack. I'll just clean it first
>>34846540
Yeah it is and it's great. We installed it a few years ago in all our rooms. Pic related
Just do rack pulls .5 inches higher than the plates would be.

nice home m8
>>34846599
>.5 inches higher
100% bullshit certified post.
Say goodbye to the snatch width knurling on your now bent bar
Also will scratch the shit out of a cage.
>>34846599
This is an option. you could even get another .5 inch surface to stand on and make it equal again.

Something like this if you want to be able to just drop the weight from OHP height and make sure you dont kill your floor. But if you just want to make sure you dont damage it while deadlifting it might be a bit overkill and just some mats like that and maybe one layer of wood underneath will be enough

looks cozy senpai
>>34846117
Hey, sorry, where are all the weights?
