Yes. I was literally an obese manlet before i got in highschool. Over these 4-5 years i went from an obese turbo manlet to a strong built-fat manlet (280-190).

I really really doubt that you knew any 15 year old that weighed 280lbs, that's professional athlete territory, hell, most NRL players in Australia don't even weigh that much.

Also, can't say I've actually ever heard of a 15 year old benching above 2pl8, even the powerlifter/bodybuilder type people, who obviously have incredible genetics for lifting don't lift that much at that age.

That's true to some degree, but I think you're really under-estimating just how fucking huge 280lbs is, it's beyond the natty limit for most adult males, and at it for those with damn good genetics. When you start talking about 15 years old weighing that much, it gets kind of unlikely, unless they're fat as fuck or 6'10 or something like that.

41,5 here after 6 mo of training. My experience is that arms don't really respond to low rep workouts. lower the weight and up the reps (12). forced negatives are also amazing. The worst bicep doms i ever had were from forced negative pull ups with really slow form.
Last but not least. Your triceps is far larger than your bicep, so train it.

They're fat motherfuckers at 280, for the most part. Line players in gridiron are incentivised to get much heavier than you'd see in rugby. Basically, think about how big and fat Union forwards would get if all they ever had to do was pack a scrum then take a breather. That's pretty much the role of the biggest gridiron players.

I have a very good idea of how damn big 280 is, lean or otherwise. Strongman gyms love them some big motherfuckers.

And makes sense, the differences in physique, I'm not familiar with gridiron, so I kind of assumed there was a lot of running the same as there is in rugby, where the guys are still huge, but not that big.

Increase weight then my man, could be that your friend just has high insertions on his biceps, giving him a better peak, or that he's done a program better for hypertrophy, or any number of things. No point worrying about it though, size of his arms doesn't change the size of yours.
