Hey /fit/, about to seriously start my winter bulk, running mk-677 for 3 months to up my appetite, and I already have a meal plan set in place at 4000 ovals/day.

My question is, would I benefit from SS or 5x5 during my bulk? Since I'm bulking I'm not really worried about abs or traps or shit, I just want to up my lifts as much as I can. I've been doing my bro-split for a while now, and I've had good results, but I'm stalling right now and want to try something new?

I guess my question is: Is SS a meme for experienced lifters? I'm not advanced by any means but I'm pretty much out of noob gains at this point.

Stats:
>6'5"
>210lbs
>OHP 165lbs
>BP 235 lbs
>SQ 275 lbs
>DL 335 lbs

No, do madcow 5x5

I feel like that's not enough volume. My recovery will be much better on mk677, should I add in more sets?

Your lifts are way too big to do SS. SS is for people who have literally never lifted anything heavier than their mom's grocery bag.

But I still feel like running a routine like that might be beneficial. Any suggestions?

I'd say just modify and add volume where necessary. I use to do bench where I'd do like 3x5 then do like two back off sets and just get as many reps as possible 12,15,18 and my chest would be dummied. It's usually a good idea for more experienced lifters to do more volume, but whatever helps you progress

I started lifting 4 months ago, similar stats to you (2 inchs shorter). I have been doing the SS routine this whole time and am about to get off it and do a PPLPPLX. I have just started stalling on my squats and OHP and was told when I start stalling to get off the SS routine.
It is ultimately up to you but I would say don't do it, I could imagine you would be better off on a more advanced routine
