RESULTS:
Peak blood ethanol concentration (0.088 ± 0.015 g·dL) was achieved 60-90 min postexercise. TT and FT were elevated significantly (P ≤ 0.05) at IP for both conditions. At 140-300 min postexercise, TT, FT, and free androgen index were significantly higher for EtOH (TT: 22.5 ± 12.5 nmol·L; FT: 40.5 ± 7.6 pmol·L) than for placebo (TT: 13.9 ± 6.8 nmol·L; FT: 22.7 ± 10.0 pmol·L).
tell me /fit/, why aren't we dropping a shot of vodka after each training session?!
Because if you drop shot, you cannot drink shot. Duh.

>WHY do people say TAKE a dump?
I'm from now on always keeping a bottle of vodka at home for post workout gains.
So according to this I should get around 20cl vodka after each workout. Will this finally make me leave humanity behind /fit/?

g·dL? did they mean g/dL?
anyway interesting study but not very meaningful in terms of practice because it would need to look at more long term usage and effects.
i'll definitely cite it whenever i drink after lifting now tho

i'm pretty sure you're right. i'm curios if anyone saw what proof they used. i saw 40 and 80 proof for example

The fuck does this science shit mean
Beer causes estrogen spikes.
Why should I trust the booze because of this one study?

they gave quantities of pure alcohol. the amount they used was roughly equivalent to 5 shots of 80 proof vodka for a 200lb person. or 2.5 shots for a 100lb person. etc.

beer can. the way they used grain alcohol (volka, any fermented grain?) says there was no change
Just made a thread about this that I noticed on my own

Interesting.
