What does /fit/ think about stationary bikes?

I was thinking buying a used one because winter is coming. I was used and I enjoyed jogging.

I do not want to lose or win any weight. Only have a better cardio.

Maybe with this I'll finally watch all my weab shits or anything else that I wanted.

This is what I do. If your watching a good show it makes an hour of cardio feel like10minutes.

I agree. You can get a decent road bike cheap on your local craiglist. Combined with a roller you can either ride on your roller and watch tv while doing pretty solid cardio, or take the bike outside and get a lively feeling riding around.

I don't think anything is wrong with stationary workout bikes though. It just never matches cutting through the wind at 65kmh with a big grin on your face.

yeah, excercycles are fine for cardio and tv but riding out on the road/trail is just way more rewarding

>ice and snow fucking everywhere.

Maybe on a fatbike with fucking studded tired.

I'm already getting excited in bed thinking about riding tomorrow.

A fatbike would totally work but if you want to spend less consider a cyclocross. They are similar to road bikes except they have more room for larger and more suitable tires for the winter. A cyclocross never says no to snow and ice.

your /n/ is showing
I have a cyclocross, decent 35c tires but I don't know if I'd have the balls to try it on ice, and I think 35 is still probably too skinny for snow

but yeah OP, get a stationary and watch your shows and shit. If it's snow and ice in your winter then that's probably the way to go

Yeah fatbikes are the safer bet. I live in Ithaca in ny and it's known for its shitty winters. Usually the cyclists hibernate until spring. But you still see fatbikes, cx, and sometimes mtbs roaming around. I guess it depends on how shitty your winters get.
