I run 5k at 5mph everyday almost. Burns 450 calories on average. Takes me 45 minutes. So you try training for half of that.

Like if I jogged for 20 minutes and it says 250 calories burned, is the actual number probably with 5 calories of that or 50 calories of that?

I usually run 5km in 30 mins. Burns 400-450 calories. You can calculate the amount of calories you burn. Just google running calorie calculator
Depending on your weight/height, heart rates and muscle efficiency, I would average a normal guy to lose somewhere around 1000kcal per 1 hour of exercise with 10km/h speed.
Now if you run one third of that, you probably end up burning anywhere between 200-400 calories.
