Sup /fit/. I've been having some pain in my lower back, just the right-hand side, particularly when i stretch my legs. I've tried to stretch it out, but cant seem to get it.
Any suggestions for stretches that might help?
I have the same problem, but I manage to 'control' it pretty well. There are some tips that works for me and may work for you:
> massage/farm rollers everywhere. Do it in your glutes too, it may be a trigger point that reflects the pain to your back
> stretches for hip flexors and posterior chain. Google it. Hanging myself while relaxing my lowerbody aliviates it too.
> stop doing hiperextention or back isolations. Do some bw ab work instead. Keep doing heavy compounds.
> sauna and cold shower. I'm not sure if it helps that much with back pain, but it is great for the muscles/health.
And go to a good specialist. I want to go to a chiropracticor, not only because the back pain, but I don't have money. I was visiting a physiotherapist but she did'nt help so much as I did for myself, so choose the therapist wisely and inform yourself.
One sided only indicates it may be the quadratus lumborum. Google "ql stretches"
these as part of this guys 3rd point

the rest he said is on point
I've been having back pain everyday for almost two years now.
I started doing some stretches, it seems to help a little.

Try just rest, dont do anything that aggravates the pain. If that doesn't work the pain could be chronic. That means start deadlifting with good form with light weights. Do high reps and gradually increase weight and decrease reps. No stretching or any other PT bullshit will help you. Visiting a real doctor like chiro might be useful but in most cases unnecessary.
I too have some lower back pain, mild on one side caused by poor form when squatting. Should I rest it up or continue working out on Monday? Just that I've lost two weeks of gains to this as it stands,

Scoliosis, better go to an orthopedic.
It could be your spine is twisted (doesn't have to curved, can be twisted on its own axis like mine) and puts extra weight on one side of your body.
As you can see OP there's a lot of potential reasons to your pain. I myself found out I overarch my back when I squat, leaving an almost unnoticeable pain in my lower back afterwards.

Did you find anything that helps for you?

My orthopedic told to swim on my back to correct it.
At first I was hesitant due to the cardio meme, but a week of swimming 3 times a week for 30 minutes already made wonders. 4 Months later he saw significant improvements and allowed me to do back intensive muscle exercises like deadlifts

Anything special about swimming or is it just the light exercise that did it for you?

On your back, with your arms in straight, circular motions.
