Well, the other traditional way to roast chicken is to stuff huge slabs of butter in between the skin and meat and rub the whole thing down with salt before roasting, but its not a very /fit/ way to do things unless you're on a bulk I guess. Tastes great though.

read a book faggot.

your blood sugar can't spike without sugar to spike it with.

you're talking about an insulin spike from sweeteners, and it's bullshit.

your pancreas has no clue that your your brain is interpreting the sweetener as sweet. It's a fucking organ that reacts to whatever is processed by your stomach. It literally gives no shits about the tiny level of aspartame or saccharin you're tasting.

>>
>>31440727
I agree. I love it so much that I've sacrificed everything for it. My good friends became shallow ignorant people (I don't tell them of course, but secretly I believe that). The foods that used to taste good, I now see as unhealthy processed crap that's all part of the grand industrial scheme to make tons of money from mass slaughter of genetically modified animals and production of addictive nutrients while slowly sending people to their death. All the people surrounding me and their petty lives... The person that they are only means as much as their inability to understand even the very things that they put through their month on the daily, and the fact that they'll unconsciously transmit those irrational and unhealthy habits to their offspring. In other words, they are utterly meaningless to me. When you come to truly understand what fitness and being healthy mean, your understanding of the world also changes drastically, and the light that once filled your unknowing mind is replaced by darkness as the reality of the pitiful lives of most people that inhabit this world unfolds before your eyes.

Hey, my dorm only has a microwave. Faster than boiling water, anyway.
>>
How to make oats not bland as fuck?
I microwave oats with full cream milk and add honey, a banana and cinnamon sugar but it's not enough.
>>
>>31443437
Brown Sugar and Maple Syrup/Cinnamon to taste
>>
Pour milk on em? I've never really found oats to be bland. They have a really nice, sort of soft flavour that compliments milk really well. Plus if they're in liquid, it's really easy to swallow them without chewing. Makes the meal really fast.
Don't worry, you'll still digest them. unless you're doing steelcut maybe, those might be harder for your stomach to dissolve as-is.
>>
>>31443482
Might try this

>>31443494
I dunno, even when they're softened in milk they have this weird, almost dry texture to me.
>>
>>31443523
>I dunno, even when they're softened in milk they have this weird, almost dry texture to me.
How do you cook them and what brand do you buy? I eat this stuff. It's rolled oats, flaxseed and bran. They don't taste dry. Add a splash of water, give it a minute in the microwave and they're already goop.

Obviously we're just comparing taste here. It's possible you just don't like oats as much as I do.

Stevia for sweetness (Love the stuff, my latest /fit/ obsession), a little goes a long way. Some mixed berries half a cup or full cup depending, or just whatever one in particular you like. You can get quite a few for minimal calories like blueberries and strawberries.

I also like to use protein powder, good way to get all muh carbs and protein in for breakfast. Just make sure to mix it in when it's warm rather than really hot, in my experience mixing whey into hot substances or applying heat to it produces an unpleasant spongy texture. Not the good kind of spongy like a cake.

Made this yesterday, was delicious as fuck.
Ingredients:
>500g lean mince (I used kangaroo)
>400g red kidney beans
>1 brown onion
>1 red capsicum
>3-5 tbsp tomato paste
>Paprika, chilli powder and cumin to taste

Dice and fry the capsicum and onion in extra virgin olive oil until whenever and add mince until browned. Add spices, kidney beans and tomato paste and cook for however much longer you feel like.
Serve in wholemeal tortillas with condiments of choice, I prefer cheese and sour cream myself.

The whole lot + 10 small wholemeal tortillas has:
>2240kcal
>281g carbohydrates
>166g protein
>52g fat

Eat oats and fruit nigga. Cutting is fucking easy, at least to plan out. You just eat low cal and less food. Bulking is hard, you have to find ways to stuff more macros into your diet within the confines of your appetite. That's why these recipes are here, to help people make their numbers with small portions and easy to prepare recipes.
>>
>>31443911
>Oats and fruit

The fuck? Protein is the most important macro when cutting to preserve whatever muscle you have or are building, depending on noob gains or steady lifting, which you should always be doing.

>Cutting is fucking easy, at least to plan out. You just eat low cal and less food. Bulking is hard, you have to find ways to stuff more macros into your diet within the confines of your appetite
You're ignoring the fact that cutting as a fatass is a whole new world and it's tough to stay at your calorie limit. It's like assuming everyone has perfect willpower.

I tried making a lentil soup. I tried only once.

I'm on a IF diet so when the meals after my training are done I eat a lot. There was like 1kg of soup I think and almost half of it were lentils (the rest was beef and broth).

After I've eaten it I went to the cinema with my gf to watch Sin City 2.

The notion of trying to stop the farts left me after 20 minutes. After 2hrs of constant farting in a crowed cinema (thank god they were silent) I was only too happy to go outside.

Then I got the biggest fucking crunch in my stomach, nearly shat myself and I started getting the sweats and shivers from trying to keep it in. When I finally got to a toilet I spent like 10 minutes continually shitty.

I haven't even looked at lentils since.
>>

Lentils and legumes in general require you to "throw the first water" as my people say. Basically fill a pot with tap water, lentils in, when it starts to boil use a strainer to toss away all excess water, put tomato sauce, carrots, spices (bay leafs if you can), salt and water and THEN cook them. With beans you have to do it twice, with onions for stifado three times. Not sure about how long you should leave it in lukewarm water though, I'll ask grandma and reply again in like 4 hrs.
>>
>>31443806
I've done something similar, but used a tin of crushed tomatoes as well.

I dunno, for me i find that even a little stevia goes a long way to sweeten something up. I know what you mean about it have a strong presence without much actual sweetness, but i dont have much a problem using a little in whatever i'm making and having it be enough sweetness.
>>
Ayyyy yo fuccbois listen up. I'm about to drop a killer breakfast recipe. It even clutches up for y'all who gotta get up early for work er to make some sweet gains in the AM.

In a mason jar combine;
Milk
Cooking Oats
Fruit (Dried or fresh)
I add chia seeds. You probably can't not if you fucking don't want to. But theses little niggas are cash as fuck.
Toss some sugar because oats taste like wood, i use demerar or whatever its called cane sugar is ight too.
Now close that bitch and toss it in the fridge overnight.
When you're all done dreaming about tossing some yolked dudes poo butter take the jar of godliness out of the fridge and mix in 1 tablespoon of PB&J and there you fucking go. Tastes great, dont know the macros because I just partake in the seafood diet so some autist can count it all out if they please.

I cut salt and freeze my meat, in that order. I don't really brine anything because I don't have any soft meat.

Wahay, someone's going to make a joke.
>>
>>31457625
>because I don't have any soft meat.
I mean, it's frozen all of the time, except for when I'm salting fresh meat. When I'm salting fresh meat, there's always oldish frozen meat in the fridge that needs to be eaten first, so

A never ending cycle of freezing and salting.

Most recipes please brags I'm fucking stoked this thread exists
>>
350-500g chopped chicken breast
350-500g sliced sweet potato
big thing of salsa

Dump all ingredients into slow cook. Set on low.

Wake up next day and eat. You can pull from in throughout the day, or put in 2 or 3 times the amount and eat throughout the week while on warm.

Low cal, high protein, and sweet potatoes are good for you. Low fat too.

I cut the recipe in half and still get about 4 small pancakes. Also use one egg and one whites and use fat free cottage cheese.
>>
>>31440727
They'd probably look better if you added butter and oatmeal.
>>
>>31465229
Hmm, that's not too bad. Might save some for later though, 600+calories just for a breakfast or meal is quite a bit.

Dont care about cookie aesthetic aslong as they are functional just like my strength
>>
>>31466475
Well that's much more manageable. Guess it's just a matter of how filling they are.

Hardly a recipe, but since I've lost my job, this has been my go to meal. Eat it in the morning, full all day.

>Make some oats, plain
>fry some eggs. Over easy is best
>put eggs on oatmeal
>season it. I like pepper and that hot oil shit you get at any Chinese place
>put avocado on top

It was weird having oatmeal be hearty, but it's damn good. Gonna try tossing in some shredded chicken next time.
