Nice progress. Looks good man.

Am currently 12% bf and want to be below 10 by the end of next week before I start bulking (going home from uni and my parents pay for food at home so I might as well make the most of it, also getting ripped af for the sloots is a bonus). Should I do PSMF for the next fortnight or just continue cutting at a ~1000 calorie deficit with a weekly carb refeed?

>>
>>37615061
The Zyzz routine eh? I wonder if the volume is too high on that one, he had another one with lower volume iirc someone posted it a couple days ago
>>
>>37616418
How is that volume too high though? Asking seriously.. that can all be done in an hour even with decent rest periods. Is overtraining really that easy?
>>
>>37616425
I meant for the week, Deadlift and Squat 2x a week
>>
>>37615910
Thanks bro
>>37616315
That way I'm working it indirectly one day and directly on the other. If I need to I can always add in a bicep exercise or two when I hit back.
>>37616418
You need to adjust the volume if needed to what you can handle. For example you cannot do the same rep ranges when you're cutting. You will snap your shit up quick. You need to drop rep ranges to about half of what you were doing and focus on strength. Even some exercises might need to be cut out or weight lowered. Bro splits require a little more fine tuning to the person running them, in my opinion. I think a lot of people who talk bad about them don't know how to train with one because they try to follow some juice monkeys 70 set split and then wonder why they can't recover or make progress
>>37616425
It isn't too high if you focus purely on progressing compounds. After heavy compounds you can't lift heavy on accessory lifts anyway. I usually add 2 reps to each accessory every workout until I can hit 15 reps and then drop back to 8 and lift heavier weight. You will progress slow in strength but it works

I've got a question about Starting Aesthetics if anyone's done it or knows anything about it. Are there complimentary exercises, like Starting Strength's ab and arm work? Or is it just what's shown in the graphic?

After cutting, up your calories slightly and track your weight for like a week. If you have the same workout schedule/routine all the time it's easy to find your maintenance calories. Just eat at whatever that number is that makes your scale weight stay relatively the same. Fucked metabolism is a meme

Is progression the best way to tell if your routine is working well? So many people on fit say PPL is only for roiders.. but I like PPL. What do?
>>
>>37617881
you look like a sick cunt, mirin hair, jaw and cheekbones
>>
>>37618424
Progression is generally indicative of progressive overload.

But you can progressively overload muscles with setsxreps or with added weight.
So you can still achieve progressive overload, even without ""progressing"" becauses you managed to get more total training volume (setsxrepsxload) than last training session.

If your lifts regress, your routine has too much volume.
If your lifts stall, your routine has not enough volume.

I find U/L/U splits work fantastically well
>>
>>37618424
>Is progression the best way to tell if your routine is working well?

Almost done this program. My legs are my weakest point, aesthetically (they're incredibly strong but look tiny) so I'm thinking of going back to gethin's 12 week program. I've also done stoppani's shortcut to shred before but I'm looking for something really challenging. I have until December to see what I can do with my body without supps (gonna leave to go travel) so I want to set my body well for maintenance

Read in a previous thread that Greyskull was a good routine for strength and some aesthetics and I've been following pic related.

Wouldn't it be any better to have squats at the end instead of it being in the middle of the workout? Especially when you are also doing that same day.
>>

>>
>>37628051
Stuff like this on when to do the particular exercise I feel is up to you. If you feel like after squats, you can still carry on the "plug-ins" without fail, then this should be fine. If you feel that doing the "plug-ins" before squats won't affect your squats, then do that.
But would you rather have your squat affected or your accessories?

I guess I would squat before doing accessories so I don't compromise my main lifts. I was mainly concerned of doing rows (pendlay in my case) after squats. Seems like my legs/core would be too fucked to keep a correct form while rowing.

I would do it barbell row first, then bench, then squat. Your lower back will get rest during bench from the barbell row and then be ready to squat.

What would be the best "plug-ins" to maximize aesthetics, preferably focusing on upper body since I'll get plenty of lower body with squats, diddlies, and ice hockey.

The sticky, while wordy as shit, /is/ advice. I won't spoonfeed you, but the sections you should focus on and learn more about are:
- Counting Calories, specifically eating a deficit
- Cardio and how that plays into eating a deficit
- Weight Lifting and how that plays into fat-loss/lean muscle-gain

That should give you plenty to get started with. There are a lot of helpful people here but the sticky answers the most common questions, and it's annoying as hell to see them get asked multiple times a day. If you don't have the patience to spend an hour parsing through some info and doing some research, you're never going to be able to stick to any sort of diet/workout plan.

Hello fellow /a/utist. I also am from /a/ and share the struggle of having severe /a/dhd. I only started recently but I do something along the lines of this.

I follow the bodyweight exercises, but for the running I substitute their routine with C25k, because it's not possible for me to run the distances specified in pic related.

Another thing I do is substitute the swimming for cycling because I don't have gym membership but I do have a bike.

Calorie counting is something I haven't been able to get a hang of yet. I'm pretty slow. The number one rule is have as little carbs as possible. If you want to get full it's better to fill yourself on proteins(meat) and vitamins. Number two rule is don't eat anything that can't be traditionally homemade. Other tips would be

-Drinking lots of water, especially before meals
-eating (more) meals, instead of snacking
-not eating anything < 3 hours before you go to bed

A beginners tip for running would be don't be discouraged if you can't run for a long time. When I started not too long ago I couldn't run two straight minutes without feeling like dying and now I can do 2.3k with less than 3 thirty second breaks.

Ideally you should read the sticky, and you should read the sticky at some point either way but if you're getting bogged down this might be a good place to start.
>>
>>37635202

I'm the guy quoted in the pastebin talking about GSLP. I'm worried I've created a monster of people over-analysing their beginner program.

Thus, I think the OP/pastebin should say something like:
>>How do I get started on the path to aesthetics?
>In your first few months of building aesthetics, you have three goals:
>1. Get into the habit of dieting and exercising.
>2. Learn how to lift.
>3. Build a strength base.
>More than anything else, building a good body requires control of diet, and a lot of time in the gym. There are no shortcuts. Thus, the beginner program you choose doesn't matter too much, so long as it helps you do the above.
>Beginner programs are only meant to be run for a few months, in which time you're not going to see drastic changes to your body that aren't diet related. You could even do Starting Strength as a beginner program, and move on to an aesthetics-focused intermediate routine.
>That said, the best routine is one that you'll stick with, and if aesthetics are your goal, it makes sense to begin with a more aesthetic routine that still builds strength. Greyskull LP is recommended as...

When should I be looking to go from a beginner strength oriented program to an aesthetics oriented program? Currently I'm doing SS with just a few accessories and eating a lot in order to up my lifts. When should I look to switching programs and begin cutting on my path to being a sick cunt?
>>
>>37637700
If you're lifting for girls then that's too lean but as long as you don't look like a human erection you probably wont be too big. If you're lifting for the sake of bodybuilding then there's no such thing as too big or too lean.

A:
Squats: 3x5

Bent over DB Rows 3x5
Dumbell shoulder press: 3x6-10 / Pullups: 3x6-10
Pushdowns 1-2x12-15 / Curls 1-2x12-15

B:
OHP: 3x5
Deadlift: 1x5
Supinated Barbell Row 3x5
Dips 3x6-10 / Chins 3x6-10
Low Pulley Crossover 3x8-12 / Lateral Raises 3x8-12

AxBxAxx
BxAxBxx

Try this senpai, I wrote it for some guy in routine general. Keep your normal progression on the 3 heavy movements and overload the lighter moves by progressing by reps until you hit the top of the range and then increasing weight. Exercise A / Exercise B means you super set them, not alternate. If you're weak then feel free to sub in lat pulldowns for pull ups and supinated lat pulldowns for chins. If your back is tired after deadlifts you need to figure out some kind of chest supported row variation that also works biceps decently. I'd recommend going for supinated cable rows with a straight bar attachment, but the barbell version is far better.

I'm at the stage of your first pic, maybe a bit fatter. Any general tips or something you wish you knew back then? Also, since I'm on a cut, will I be able to do all these exercises?
I'm eating 1350 cal per day to drop 1kg per week.

I overslept this summer and haven't began cutting yet, i put on 25 pounds of pure fat. I need to lose it ASAP while losing little muscle. Will going on a 500-700 calorie diet while pinning HCG really help me keep muscle mass, or is that just snake oil and I should count this summer as a failure?

Theres no way thats the SEAL regimine. I run cross-country and do bodyweight exercises and what that article describes is not super hard. That routine doesn't seem special at all.

Put your shirt on inside out and then when somebody comments then take it off to put it on right and then everyone will see your muscles.

Careful with this one. You'll probably only get to do this once per group of people. Maybe twice. Any more than that and they'll think you're a retard who doesn't know how to put a shirt on correctly.

Don't be a poorfag and get tailored/fitted clothes. It's more attractive than being shirtless
