For anyone who truly wants to achieve full range of motion on their squats and workout their WHOLE entire core, just follow these steps!

Step 1: Put on at least 80 percent of your max. Works better if you put on your max to truly feel the burn.

Step 2: On the way down, twist your torso left as far and as fast as you can, and explode up the opposite direction on the way up. This engages your obliqes and will help target every abdominal muscle. On the next rep do it the other way.

That's it! Hope you guys learned a lot today and good luck out there, we're all going to make it.

What a great idea! I will definitely try it on my next squatting session!

I just hope that I won't fall over in the direction of whichever shoulder is in between my legs because of the fact that the obliques are nowhere nearly as strong as the quads which are responsible for you not falling over on a normal squat (as opposed to the core which is only responsible for not doing a morning squat).
That would of course cause my torso to plunge sideways in between my legs, and cause my hip flexor to twist in an unnatural way, probably especially the iliopsoas and pectineus, and I would have no chance to avoid serious injury in this position.

Yes, I really hope this will not happen.
But what are the chances anyway? Lol
It's not like a random stranger on some chinese rice appraisal forum would want to indirectly harm me for no reason, right?

>right?

I just tried this, and now have shootibg pains in my lower back, any advice???
>>
>>37417276
You just gotta build up some strength in that area. Just keep doing this exercise and progressively overloard. Eventually the pain will go away.

oh my gosh this sounds so FUNCTIONAL
>>
>>37417194
Yeah maybe if you dont keep your back upright, if you do all of the tension goes on the obliques and not your spine
>>
Finally I can shit corkscrews!

>>37417066
