What do you call this exercise? I call them side bends. This is the only thing I do for obliques right now, since I'm already accustomed to standing around holding a dumbbell at my side. I don't care for doing hundreds of twisting crunches, and side bends with heavy weight also help strengthen forearms.
What's /fit/'s experience with this exercise? Any other oblique exercises you can recommend?
the best oblique exercise get a resistance band attach to side of rack hold the other end and turn your torso. do this each side to failure and repeat as many times as you want. this shit shreds the fuck out of your obliques and all pro athletes do them.

Can you get a balanced physique with just OHP and deadlifts? I hate spending so much fucking time in the gym.
I finally did it /pol/ I finally got a gf, she's 5'1 and at 15 she has to potential to be high test but I have to shape her. I have a general idea of workouts for her but the tricky thing is what her diet should be. Is there like a recipe out there for a high test /fit/ girl? I'd like to keep her short too if there's a way to acheive that.

I started barely being able to squat the bar, I got it up to 150lbs after a few months but then I got sick and missed the gym for 2 months. This is currently my PR at 175lbs

Form seems not terrible. Your knees are traveling a bit too forward maybe. Also, you seem to be doing low bar squat but I'm not sure you have the bar in the right place (it seems like sort of a medium position?). Rippetoe on youtube has good reference on bar position if you want to double check that.
Also, you look like a more babyfaced version of someone I know so I did a triple take on your vid there.

if you don't know about it it's powdered food - apparently contains all your needed macronutrients and calories so you could hypothetically survive on it eating nothing else. 150g per 2000 calories and a scoopful is 161 calories.
I just got home from uni and found my brother had bought some. Thinking about using it in shakes - 1 scoop protein, 2 scoops huel, peanut butter, whole milk. That's got to be a lot of calories right there.
