This is another good reason for beginners to stick to compounds. Since the weight is distributed throughout multiple joints, you don't have single points of failure bursting into pieces like the ligament tears in this video

Actually tearing your bicep is good for you in the long run and it makes you stronger.
I tear my biceps every month or so to keep my body on the edge. This way it doesn't know if the next workout's gonna be a tear or not so it makes sure to strengthen my tendons just in case. It really adds to the volume of your arms.
