My condo gym has exclusively machines. Practically no free weights. And most machines have 15lb plate increments. I'm new at this (31 y/o, 175lb, 25% BF, muscle atrophy due to lazy sedentary lifestile), and when doing something like bench press fro example, I can do either less than 4reps per set at 150lb, or 10+ reps at 135. Which ones should I do? When doing 10+, I feels more like cardio, but with 4reps, I don't feel like I'm getting a workout done. And at what point do I move to next increment?
i usually do one arm rows with 100lbs to assert my dominance if its ever in question.

Are Abs about exercise or diet?
I'm skinny and I have no Abs
Abs are a muscle and like any other muscle will grow by working them (as in heavy squats and deads of course)
However, since they don't get very big, even at a low skelly bf% its possible to not have defined abs
If I started running with ankle weights to the point of being able to run just as fast without them, would I run even faster when I finally take them off?

I train like a bodybuilder and my upper chest never grew as much as when I used a smith machine.
Slightly higher incline than normal. Really pull your shoulder blades back. Have the bar so it touches just below the clavicle and a narrower grip than your flat bench. Arch back and then really slow down the eccentric.
You won't move much weight but it will burn across your clavicle.
Also use it for behind the neck press following OHP with a barbell.
