Apart from appearance goals, is there anything else you're aiming for in terms of fitness?
I've always wanted to sprint a mile
I wanna beat Oliver Sacks' record.
You can't sprint a mile.
Sprinting is anaerobic, running a mile is aerobic.
Having a goal time for your mile is more realistic.
For example, getting under 5 minutes is a big benchmark that a lot of people aim for.
My best is a 4:24 mile and that was as a senior in highschool with years of rigorous practice and plenty of good competition.
You could also aim for under 4:30 (assuming you're younger than 30 or so) but you'll need to commit to training 5-6 days a week...

Yes, my Uncle holds the family record BP of 365. He seems to bring it up everytime he sees me. However he admitted he was on the juice in college (played linebacker).
I've pressed 315 el Natural and hope to eventually beat it
26 years old. Gym has become an off an on thing. When younger, I would have long hiatuses, I'd get back to it quick, makes gains, and get right back where I started.
But now, my body can't cope with it so much anymore. I've had minor and some moderate muscle strains from going too hard, some taking 2 full weeks to completely heal. I've noticed cuts, scrapes, bruises take longer to heal too. Hair thinning (genetics)
At 26, aren't I too young for this? My diet is good, micros at least. Macro's, I lack a bit on, for my goals in mind.
How much time does it take to have an Abercrombie & Fitch body?
Are you the only lifter in your circle of friends? Or is your whole group into fitness?
Almost all the guys in my core group are into working out for health and strength, and most of the girls enjoy fitness in some capacity. There a couple outliers or people who don't train regularly but for the most part Id say our group is fairly fit.
>your circle of friends
the only one who notices my gains is my mom and she tells me to stop getting fat
Yeah, and they all get insecure when their girls say shit like 'you look good... in this' the first time they see me and then they limit contact with me pretending they never have time when I want to meet up. Fuck those cunts.
What's your gymbro/gymbroette/gymbromo/gymgf/gymbf/gymhusbear/gymwaifu like /fit/?
Got any stories about them?
>lifting alone 2016
>not interacting with people and just wearing your headphones/earbuds
Started my weight lifting journey last October with my brother in law. He left in January to go to this boot camp thing 3x a week for a new year weight loss competition and never came back to barbells so I lift solo now. Headphones always in, slight head nod to regulars I see everyday but no conversation.
He drank my casein shake yesterday, so I strangled him.
Ok... so I bought a dumbbell. What now?
>Pick the weight up and drop it on yo fuckin' head
Seriously, it's getting out of hand and isn't at all related to fitness. These threads pop up multiple times a day and immediately fill up and devolve into vegans getting angry
Can we have a containment board? /veg/ or something? Because /fit/ really isn't the place to proselytize fringe lifestyles
There is a little box with a minus sign in it that lets you hide threads. If everyone hides vegan threads they will go away. It's 1 vegan frantically posting prepared responses to every 10 people sharing their favorite barbecue recipes.
I'm getting into fitness again. I'd say at my peak, I was 6'3 and 210 pounds, able to do 20 pullups on a good day.
As of right now, I'm 6'3 and 250 and can only do two pullups, with another half.
How many other big guys do pullups regularly? I'm going to be trying to do at least 20 pull ups throughout the day now that I have a bar in the door frame.
6ft 220 reporting, lost a few pounds over the last few weeks doing cardio and rock climbing, cut my diet down from 2600 to 2000 cals and continuing rock climbing and cardio goal weight is around 180.
I want to remove sugar from my diet, as well as artificial sweeteners.
However, after Googling for 20 minutes for just a cereal, I still can't find anything.
Could someone direct me to a list of foods without sugar or artificial sweeteners?
Some foods are nearly impossible to replace with healthy alternatives. That is why I also shop at a somewhat higher than shit tier store.
From cereals, you will most likely find NOTHING that has few sugars added. If you are lucky you could find some natural ones, that have just the ordinary sugar in them of what you would expect some of the things in foods to have.
I am not kidding when I say that 90% of all foods in a store are ineligible to be eaten if you want to avoid added sugars. Its a long and...

Baby faced cunt reporting in.
I deal with it by never going out and being NEET. I'm ugly as shit and look like I'm a HS freshman.
You guys think roids can help with this?
No question unanswered edition.
My memory fails me but what is the website where you enter your height weight and lifts and it shows you where on your body you're lagging or out of balance and if you're a novice, intermediate, advanced lifter etc?
If creatine allows you to produce more ATP, and DNP makes the ATP cycle more inefficient, bleeding off some of the ATP->ADP process as heat, does creatine act as a force multiplier for DNP?
The pics for these threads are getting more and more awesome.
My question: in terms of training my abs, are hanging leg raises enough? To get simple, aesthetic abs along with low bf?
Both male and female welcome
