Any idea why? It's really noble to improve your strength and boy, why does it only attract the lowest?
I work about 55 hours a week and the only reason I manage to go to the gym regularly is because I have neither a girlfriend nor any other hobbies. Trash people just got enough time for a time-consuming hobby like lifting.

What's /fit/'s take on soylent? I'm a software engineer and thinking about replacing 600-800 calories/day with it, mostly my lunch meals.
It started out made by a neckbeard in his basement, and after he moved buildings in an attempt to scale up his shit (the VICE video) you could see rat shit around his supplies. I also wanted to give it a go but that shit just doesn't seem safe to me anymore, especially considering he gets a lot of shit from India and China in order to score a profit.

Put some weight on your hips and do hips thrusts laying on your back, if you focus on really flexing your ass and getting full range of motion with each rep itll help.
Also, good mornings. They work the lower back but if you do them correctly and flex your ass as you come up you can get some work onto it this way as well. Dont overwork your back just to work on your ass though.
Although neither of these really answer your question because you said bodyweight, in which case, good luck. Buy a 50 lbs bag...

As a former martial artist and current bodybuilder, I can say that lifting anywhere close to what we consider reasonable here is mostly useless for martial arts.

It worked, but desu you're right; lifting anywhere close to what /fit/ considers worthwhile is actually detrimental to making gains as a martial artist. So much so in fact that after every day I actually train strength, I spend the remainder of the week working that muscle group (arms or legs) with speed or footwork exercises to boost agility.
