I can't currently afford to start paying out the ass for a couple gym memberships, as I'm out of a job. All I have is the neighborhood gym. All that gym has is machines, probably for insurance reasons.
What machines can be substituted for normal lifts? I know that free weights are worse because they don't make you stabilize it yourself.

i dont have the studies on hand but you'd need to drink 4+ Liters of diet drinks a day for it to be considered "not safe".
so you should be fine drinking it, the only thing i would worry about is how the carbonation/acid from the soda would mess with your teeth

Let's settle this once and for all... How much protein do you actually need? I know the standard bodybuilding ratio is 1 gram per 1lb of body weight, but I've heard that you can go as low as 80g per day without any impact on your gains
From what I've read, the absolute maximum any study has shown anyone to be able to utilize is .86 g/lb. That's for high level weightlifters.
Realistically, you can probably do .5-.7 and get the same gains.
I challenge anyone to show me a study suggesting benefits from more.

Go to the juiceland website and check out their menu; it's an Austin smoothie place I dig and steal ideas from. Lately I've been doing two tbsps of cacao powder, two tbsps of hemp seeds, a scoop of a pea/rice/hemp protein blend, a banana, and some almond milk at the house.
Neat, i'll check it out. I'm not going to use a pea/rice/help protein blend or almond milk because I don't have a purse with midol in it, but I will adjust the recipes for someone with testicles. Thank you

How to get my gf strong enough to do push-ups?
So my gf is incredibly weak but wants to get in shape. I started at a different strength level than her, so I have no idea what exercises to do, if you can't even do a push-up. Pls halp
Get her to do some walked pushups and then some knee pushups on the ground after she's gotten stronger. Also, lifting weights helps since it's making the muscles in her arms stronger. Best of luck to her!
