I have several raised scars from self-harm from two years ago.
3 days ago I learned about a process called "dermabrasion" where doctors use glorified sandpaper to sand away your skin to improve the look of a scar.
So I got one of these foot-scrubbers women use to smoothen their skin and sanded my scar away.
I'm currently waiting for the wound to heal (it bled a lot)
Anyone have experience with this? I use zinc ointment to help the healing process. Any recommendations?

This is generally a bad idea, you should go to an actual dermatologist. Especially since it's over a large area, you'll want the end result to look consistent. Otherwise it may end up looking like you got into an industrial accident with a belt sander.
The zinc is fine, but you likely want to use a disinfectant before and after (eg alcohol or an iodine solution).
If you don't mind, could you explain the method behind the self-harm? ie how did you make the decision where to cut?
