Have any of you swapped the barbell bench press for the dumbbell bench press? I'm considering it. My bench is terrible and I feel like I might have more luck with dumbbells.
I did and havent looked back. No more shoulder pain and last time i bb benched i was struggling with 185 lbs. 6 months after diligent db bench i went back was easily able to do 2 pl8. Dont listen to people who say you cant bench heavy with db. Just be mindful of getting into position carefully. Best part is if you ever want to switch back your gains make great carryover back to barbell.

I do ashtanga yoga, and the whole concept is you internally heat your body, instead of externally heating the outside area around you. I still need to give bikram a go, but you could always go into a sauna and go through some sun salutations instead and get the same benefits. The heat shock proteins your body produces are pretty rad, increases insulin sensitivity and helps keep you lean. It's a good practice based on what I've seen, regardless if the dude is a creep or not

If you can't join a gym then retool your diet and do body weight exercises in your apartment or at a park or something. Go to YouTube and search for body weight exercises and do them. There might be some info graphics floating around with programming and stuff. But you should just do stuff everyday. Your diet will be most important
