Hey /fit/ I started lifting around 2 months ago on a calorie deficit and have been paying attention to what I eat for 3 months.
I am 174 cm I started around 80 kg with a belly and man boobs. In these 3 months I have lost around 6kg and I am beginning to see my body form (boobs disappearing etc)
My goal is to reach around 70 kg and If I am satisfied with the results start a slow clean bulk to my original weight or a little less. Since I am following a linear progression method am I wasting my potential starting out on a calorie deficit? Will I still make good...

so you will still get your newbie gains, just slower on a caloric deficit
it isnt a specific timeframe that you have to smash all your work into, its a certain amount of mass/strength that you can achieve before you slow down

sometimes i'll make a pretty good marinara esque spaghetti. rough recipe:
1 lb jennie-o ground turkey
garlic, 1 onion, 1-3 tomatos (go for 1:1 onion:tomato ratio), mrs dash garlic herb seasoning, black pepper. cook that shit till the turkey's legit. then add 1-2 cans tomato sauce (depends how saucy you like your spaghetti), worcestershire sauce and legit dark chinese soysauce (not kikkoman shit). cook for another 10 mins till it reduces and serve.
this recipe+noodles lasts me a day of macros.
Anyone know of any healthy yet yummy meals under 200cal?
Be completely honest with me, /fit/. Why do you lift? What makes you grind out that last rep when every cell in your body is screaming at you telling you to rack it?
I do it because I want to grow. I want to eat a shittonne and get bigger quads, glutes, pecs, arms, and a thick back. If I don't suffer in the gym I'll just get fat.
I can honestly say I don't lift for girls. I'm way too autistic to talk to them, and they just want ottermode. I do lift for aesthetics, I'd guess 99% of people do even if they won't admit it.

Has anyone here had success on large caloric deficits like up to -1000? Is 12%bf the cut off point for when you're more at risk losing muscle? How did you structure this kind of cut?
Are there any hypertrophy routines that have you squatting 2-3 times a week?
I want to gain overall mass but I also want to squat some heavy as fuck weights.
Is PPL good for this goal? I haven't hit 1/2/3/4 yet but fuck it feels so bad to have been lifting for almost a year and still be small as fuck even though my numbers have been increasing

Do I have to stop squatting 3 times a week? Squats are my favorite exercise but my family keeps shitting on me for having big legs
