You either do or you don't. If it were as easy as some formula or step-by-step process then there wouldn't be fatties and weaklings in the world. Exercise is HARD and HURTS and most people don't do it for those reasons. For those of us who do we see the benefits outweigh the difficulty and pain.
Is Starting Strength or Stronglifts 5x5 still the king program for beginners?
I followed SS for something like a year and then switched to Wendler 5/3/1 when I was at intermediate strength level. Got sick, classes required more time, etc, etc, and I've fallen out of shape.
I'm pretty much skinnyfat again but I'm sure I keep a proper form still on most exercises.
I just converted meters to feet for the first time and found out I'm 5'2
I went to Planet Fitness™ today and got a power rack with some heavy plates for myself. I was lifting in my rack and listening to Taylor Swift when I glanced up and saw the Planet Fitness™ personal trainer by my side checking on my form.
She waved at me and pointed out the "No heavy lifting" signal at the top of the wall,I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back to the other side of the gym so I could lift in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers inside of the Planet...

Because _what_ you eat doesn't matter nearly as much as _how_much_ you eat.

What's your level of fitness? Based solely on BMI you are slightly overweight and could stand to go on a bit of a cut. Either way you should be lifting heavy ass weights.

I went on my first ever run today. Couldn't go on for more than like 2 minutes at a time but I kept running as soon as I could breathe again.

I feel nothing when I go to the gym. Is this normal? I'm like a cold hearted killer. Pay attention to no one. Talk to no one. Stare at the ass ruthlessly and without worry. I feel violent when I'm there.
