I have never been able to do a pull-up in my life.
I'm 6'4" and 190 pounds
I've been working out for about a month
What should I do to strengthen pull-up muscles so I can finally one day do one?

Start narrow and do negatives.
Get a box and stand at the top of your pull up position and then lift your legs of the box and lower your self down, slowly. That will start working the muscles.
How come Josh has the bigger fanbase?
I've been eating clean since i've started working out, and reaching the goal caloric intake requires eating such a high volume of food. I used to eat a lot more calorie-dense junk-food.
My question is, aside from reaching macros, are all calories equal ? Does it matter whether you get carbs from apples or cake ? White bread or brown bread ? saturated/unsaturated fats ?

My bf and I are gym virgins and we are starting to go to the gym this friday.
We are full motivated about it. We are both a bit overweight (around 25~27 BMI).
We know what we want: get rid of the belly, then get fit and get ripped.
We also know what exercises and diet to follow (i'm a physical therapist).
We want to help the process with meds/pills/something, but injections are off the table.
I know won't use any of the things you say here right away - I just want to gather information and opinions

I think it's time for me to take a break from /fit/. I'm getting more than a little burned out on how negative and broken 99.99% of the denizens of this place are, and all the useless, pointless trolling. How bad is ur diet that it doesn't allow you to fit a can of soda in? Soda is what at most 210 cals?
