A dude at the gym I attend says most diets you find online are bullshit, and if you really want to lose weight and gain muscle mass you should eat canned tuna every day.

Sometimes when there's a woman using it, I ask her if she wants to see a great exercise with them. Around 50/50 for them to say yes (I'm pretty attractive so it's not creepy), and I tell them to go to the starting position, with legs pressed to the side. I have never seen anyone at my gym except for one woman use it.
Though all the ones I have seen have the weight stack infront of you so you dont have to face people while you spread your legs.
My brother (he's 21 I'm 23) is a skinny fat with a terrible typical American diet. I started getting fit around January this year and have been loving the mental and physical gains so far. We've talked about him starting lifting but he always makes excuses even though I know he can find the time. We are blessed with great genetics (FACE HEIGHT and FRAME) but he's wasting them. Why are you so worried about changing someone that clearly doesn't wanna change? You've been lifting for 5 months, you're not making a single soul "jealous" of anything. You might wanna readjust your perspective before you start trying to work on someone else's.

I don't see why it wouldn't cause a muscular imbalance, since you're using different muscles depending on your grip.
But if you alternate the grip every lift or every session, it should balance out.
