Hey /fit/ I'm a fatass with hypothyroidism (low metabolism). I'm trying to lose weight but I need a diet to go with my excise routine. Any suggestions on a diet to help with metabolism?
I burn 1,000 calories every day at the gym with 2,000 TDEE. eating 2,000 calories a day.
So why am I getting fat?
What is this? It's been on my left hand for about five months and it won't leave. It came out of nowhere, and my friends are disgusted by it.

Is it a good investment to get a fitbit for the purposes of tracking my caloric output so I can count the calories to grow muscle, but not become /permabulking/ fatass?
they are okay. if you are deadset on getting a watch there are cheaper things, or you can wait for the inevitable apple watch release that includes everything a fitbit can do with a free app.
they are handy and I enjoy mine, mostly for tracking sleep and comparing with coworker/friends to keep motivated. if you are overweight laready the heartbeat monitor can be innacurate and you can't take your BMR out of the calorie calculator. i use myfitnesspal to track food and you can sync that up to your fitbit as well

I think I permanently fucked up my knee....
I have always been a jogger since last year and about two months ago I hurt my left knee randomly. I didnt jogg for about two weeks and it felt better. I wore a knee sleeve for a while to help recovery. I took it off after about over a month after my injury and I was fine for about two weeks. Then I started to get knee and shin splints. Now it hurts to even to walk my dog after 5 minutes.....
I really think I messed it up some how and Im really pisst because running was my favorite exercise. I'm not even old im 25...

I have to buy plates for a home gym after I shit myself squatting at the LA Fitness last Tuesday (diarrhea) :^(
I got a bar off Craigslist today so now I need plates. What pound increments do I get so I can buy as few as posible? Biggest lift right now is 360 lb diddly.
If you plan on going above 270 lbs (plates + bar), then go for Olympic size.
I say this because CAP's highest rated standard (1 inch plates) bar is 250 lbs and the bar is about 20 lbs.
Personally, that is more than enough for fitness, but some people want to power lift.
What would this guys routine look like? PPL with extra arms?

How fucked is it that I can Bench 265, DL 315, but can't even squat 2pl8? I can do 6pl8 on leg press if it counts for anything.

I know that feel bro. I'm benching 225x10, Dead lifting 285x5, but can only squat 225 for 4 reps, and that's struggling! I only do 3 plates on leg press and did that 20 times. It's weird how the body works cause my friend maxes out 3 plates on squats but struggles to get a 3 plate leg press
