I'm going into the Navy and am highly considering trying for the SEALs. I got a 90 on my ASVAB and I don't leave for 9 months. I've been regularly lifting and running for two months but still have 9 months until bootcamp. Is it reasonable to think I can get to that physical level in that time? Any tips? I'm 6'1 and 175 pounds currently.

Idk depends broski. You may want to look up online on what do to do, because I doubt there are any seals on /fit/.
But from what I do know, you need to have godly physical and mental endurance. Run long distances, focus on more body weight exercises, and if you do lift, work on doing higher reps and lower weight.
Funny thing is you'll find that a lot of seals aren't always the ripped motherfuckers that are in the gym 24/7. They're usually the skinny farm boys that have no quit in them.

I am obese at 350 pounds any the online calorie calculater put my at 4k with my current 5 day a week gym. I know the standard us to cut or bulk by 500 cals but is it feasible for a person if my size to cut more quickly with less negative effects? For instance I'm tempted to cut with 3k instead.
I'd say cut as much as you can sustain consistently. It doesn't matter if you starve for a day if you go back to eating like a fucking pig. I personally kept the most motivation when I could see my weight going down each week. At 350lbs it will be easy as fuck to see the progress. You don't need advanced methods when focusing on the basics makes losing weight so much easier. Just lift regularly, walk an hour a day, and eat like a normal fucking human being and you will lose weight. Unless you're too much of a pussy to stick to that
