Last friday I finally had the resolve, co-workers invited me to drink beer and eat pig barbecue as always.
I told them I had gastritis and wasn't feeling well. Did I do well? I saw the photos and it made my mouth water, pig barbecue tastes like heaven.
Today people offered me donuts, told em I can't because I had cavities.

I always go with the Patrick Bateman response. "You can always be thinner, look better." Give them this look to make them extra butthurt.
1. Stop giving a shit what anyone else thinks or youre never gonna make it. Youre going to be in this situation a trillion more times in your life so you need to get comfortable with the truth.
2. You can fit bbq and beer into your diet if you plan right. Just dont overdo it. Drink a couple light beers, order waters in between, etc., it wont kill you.

I've now been working out 3-5 times a week for two months, trying to get into shape. I still have a long way to go, but after getting good advice from this board on diet and regime I've made some progress. Thanks guys.

In preparation for summer, I bought a pull-up bar for some good gains.
Was wondering how doing Pull ups has effected your muscle gains? What should I pair it with for even quicker gains?
It gave me good back gains cause l've been doing them weighted like 4*/week (alternate overhand and underhand grip every workout)

I'm a poor but I want to lift. I've been thinking about just filling up gallon jugs with water or sand. Anyone know any other substances I can use to add more weight?

I rarely use enough weight to justify going mixed, though. I like doing high rep sets. Easier to keep good form. Maybe once every two weeks or so I'll test myself with a third plate and go mixed grip.
I was at the gym today waiting for a squat rack and the guy using it had the safety rails up to his armpits. He appeared to be doing squats (barbell on back 2 plates), but he was just barely bending his knees. I've heard of people doing half or quarter squats before, but he was barely even moving. That he had the safety rails up so high indicates that he was probably aware of his shitty range of motion.
He was pretty buff though, so I'm confused. Is this a legit exercise? Rehab exercise maybe? He took forever too. He was in the rack already when I came in and...

Watched a video. Way too much movement and the rails are lower.
Amount of bend in the knee is more comparable to the pic I posted and I never saw the bar hit the rails despite them being so high.
I took about 30 pounds off the weight to fix it, it's still cringe. I need more help

So for the last three days I've had gas pretty much all the time and they smell way worse than usual. Also I gained like 3kg, which isnt water weight because my diet didnt change at all.
I think it's because I ate chinese food during the weekend, and Im pretty sure those guys dont really wash their cilantro that well.
