Hey /fit/ I need some advice here
Work has made my middle upper back/lower neck feel really sore lately and after doing some light deadlifting today the left side of my upper back/shoulder started hurting really really really bad.
Has this happened to any of you and how did you fix it? I got a very physically demanding job and I don't wanna have to get a new job or compromise my life any more (even though I might have to)

Do I need to stretch before I start lifting?
I haven't lifted yet and I hink I'll fix my posture before doing it. Is it necessary or will proper form while lifting fix my posture?

squatting regularly with good form actually fixes knees quite often. they do for me. if I take time off for a few weeks I always have knee pain when I start squatting again.
also read SS. the squat style in SS is quite gentle on the knees.
Gf wants to go to the gym with me but I have no fucking idea what workouts shes got to do, can you guys help with a workout routine?

2 mile run every morning
In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. Don't worry about what you'll do in 6-12 months or years from now.
Just clean up your diet, do some cardio, do Starting strength and concentrate on the small daily and weekly progress in weight loss and strength gain.
Come back in 3-6 months and update us on your progress and then reassess your goals for the next few months.
