Mixed grip or regular grip?
Been using mixed grip for a long time but I realized only today that mixed grip might be fucking with my form. My reversed hand doesn't pull right and it messes up the bar path, it's hard to explain, anyways thinking about switching to regular grip now but afraid my deadlift is gonna drop a lot.
Regular grip, you gotta lift as much as you can with regular grip to get your grip strength up. It's not ideal but you can mixed grip heavier weight so you don't kill your gainz but you should start doing regs whenever possible
i only have a bench and dumbbells. give me a good workout program
Do you ever look at pictures of your waifu before big lifts to give you motivation?
What should eat if I lift early in the morning? I wake up about 30-45 min before workout... Currently I just have a banana and that's it, but I'm not sure whether it's the right way to go.
Something is better than nothing
30 mins might not be enough to allow for much more food though
I have a bit of oats before I go
When I was in your boat I just had a banana and a bit of milk but it was only 4 months and I didn't like it. You do get used to it though
Special k cereal, in coconut/almond milk
3 servings = 30 grams of protein, that's an easy 400 calories including the milk. I'll have a banana with it I feel like it or bring a Gatorade to the gym cuz sweating balls off
>tfw she gave you the "I love you and always will, but we aren't right for another" excuse
My lifts will be heavily effected because of this.
>tfw fatass (270 @ 6'2") lifting for first time today
>Can squat 8 reps of 300 lbs but can only do 3x8 20 lb curls and 3x8 115 lb bench presses
>Arms feel dead and like my biceps are gonna explode
I never asked for this feel. I feel like a T-rex
can you build muscle and lose fat at the same time as a noob?
It depends on what you mean with 'build muscle'. You won't increase in size if you want to lose weight, but if you've never lifted before, then your muscles will get stronger and more defined in the first couple of months regardless if you're losing weight or gaining weight.
My guess is that you're skinnyfat. Either you bulk now and look like shit for a while but atleast you'll be strong or you cut first and you'll look better quickly but you'll be DYEL for a while.
>My guess is that you're skinnyfat.
correct, im bulking atm or trying to, its just i find it really hard going from having 0-2 meals a day to fucking 7 especially since im completely broke
So you lift, but can you defend yourself against Baba Koksal running at you with a knife
Is it a good way to exercise your neck? Are there any downsides? What's the weight max I should be aiming for?
guys HELP ME
i've been on SL for 3 months
29 y/o 5'9" 137lbs -> 151lbs
i got fed up with doing squats 3x a weak and looking like a t-rex so i switched over to ppl
been on it for a week now and i haven't gained a pound even though i'm eating even more than i did before, eating at least 150g of protein per day, 250-300g carbs and 75g fat. i also haven't progressed on my main lifts.
what's wrong with me
you're at the end of your newb gains bitch. from here you have 3 choices; keep lifting and realize far slower gains, quit lifting because it's hard or start shooting roids and leave humanity (causing your insecurities to show through).
Whatever you choose, you're pretty fucked because manlet.
Don't stop SL, just add in more upper body accessory work.
What is the best forearm exercise and why is it pic related?
Do farmer's walks, you pussy. Do them heavy and you won't be able to hold anything for a minute afterwards. They also fully engage nearly every forearm muscle. And you look metal doing them.
Also does going a narrower grip on sumo give good stabilizer gains?
I'm going to be going on vacation in 3 weeks, and I need some advice regarding a somewhat extreme idea I have to prepare.
I've been hitting the gym very non-consistently, and I want to change that. But I was hoping by doing the following, I may be able to see noticeable results between now and when I leave for vacation:
>limiting daily calories to ~1000 per day, allowing a high protein breakfast and a post workout protein shake.
>going to the gym every day of the week and resting on weekends

Who uses clubs here? They have quickly become my favorite at home piece. Got mine from Onnit. Would like to know results anyone else has had with them.
I've seen some Olympic wrestling medalist Pajeet using them in his training. I have no clue what they are for
Why should I not be depressed today?
