>tfw you haven't been to the gym in so long that your calluses are going away
everybody leaves bros
Can I get a form check on this? Doing hex bar dls, they feel much better to me than regular bar. I'm getting immediate lower back soreness after these, not sure what's wrong.
Yesterday I read that you should "take a week off" every few months or so when lifting, and when you return you'll be stronger / more aesthetic / get easier PRs at the gym. Is this true? I normally just take the weekend off from lifting (I'm not on any gear). What do you guys think? Bro science or fact?
what is he thinking of his son here right now?
Anyone else completely zone out on a treadmill?
To the point that you don't remember/don't see or feel anything. Your body is just like in autopilot somehow still running, like I'm hypnotized. Then I'll snap out of it and realize 30 minutes has passed by.
And everything I saw or felt for the last 30 minutes simply feel like they didn't exist. At least I don't/can't remember them. And it's strange becuase I don't lose balance or run off the machine.
>Heating is up
>I'm wearing a dressing gown and browsing 4chan while sipping coffee
>The sun will set soon
>Feeling comfy as fuck
>I still need to leave and go to the gym in 30 minutes
Can I just skip for today /fit/?
Is it even possible to lift heavy in the morning? I feel like a weekass gizzer until i have a pint of coffee in me.
Low test beta male detected.
Lol naw i actually know what you mean though lately ive been kinda lazy too especially when im tired in the morning but ay nigga get your motivation up and push through it.
ITT: we list words that we think should be banned from /fit/.
Do you guys count your protein shakes too when you count calories?
Because one protein shake (6 scoops) is like 1500 calories, that's a shit ton, thats like half of my daily intake?
>be 5'11", 140lbs
>used to eat around 1800kcal to maintain weight
>2 weeks ago started drinking shakes to up my calorie intake to 3000 every day
>still the skinny fuck i was with no sign of improvement
How fucking long does it take?
>waa why aren't I big yet
Also you're probably shitting out most of your shake calories
Also you're probably not actually eating 3k
If you're the sort of person who is 140lbs based on your normal eating habits, studies have shown you're likely a chronic over-estimator of calories. Aim for 4k and you might actually hit 3
I was 153kg five weeks ago (337lbs)
Dropped to 139kg currently.. was an amazing feeling seeing a '3' pop up on the scale today
Progress so far via calorie deficit, cutting out processed sugar and ~40-50 minutes cardio 4-5 a week (mostly elliptical)
I've also been taking L-Carnitine and Lecithin supplements
I still see a whole heap of fat burning products on the market.... Is there anything else worth taking?
Green tea extract has the best price-perfomance imo.
Yes, I know that I am shilling myprotein.
£4.49 for 1000 servings.
And no fat burner has as much evidence as green tea for it's use.
I am using coffeine and green tea only. The rest isn't worth the money imo.
I want to eat healthy, but I'm an incredibly picky eater.
I eat microwavable/frozen food about 75% of the time, the only real healthy food I like is grilled chicken, but you can only eat the same thing so much.
I don't know what to do, I'm willing to try stuff, but I just can't stomach most things.
Somehow I'm only about 10lbs over weight according to my doctor, but I know in 5-10 years, my body won't be able to make things so easy for me and I need to step up.
Well shit /fit/, Its been 4 years since i was last here.
I remember the nights i would spend, same hour, studying for college with you guys keeping me company, motivating me every day to spend my lunch breaks pushing myself further then I had previously imagined, and you were there to share my success with, new PB's, progress and gains.
4 years later, I have had a pretty wild ride, dropped out of college that year, got addicted, got clean, died, revived, died again, lost my parents, worked hard, became wealthy, got my PT ticket (which is now my highest qualification) loved, lost and loved again.
So i find myself wondering, why did i come back? has anything changed? Keto, Roids, Squats and Oats are all still here, but then again no one ever liked them. The Idols, PUA, broscience and insecurities are all here too.
I told myself i came here for motivation, but this place in no longer motivating. The world changed in 4 years, but this place didn't. I think the real reason i came back is because having been out of my depth, its more comfortable to be shallow.
Think about it.
Is it okay to work lats before chest? Usually I bench first then do back after because who gives a fuck about back. Will my body be more tired and unable to lift what it usually can?
>Usually I bench first then do back after because who gives a fuck about back
How is it possible someone so retarded and with a 2nd grader's level of English can gain such a following on youtube?
