Hey /fit/, gym newbie here. I started working out about a month ago and things are going okay, except my friend that went with me has to stop going for work reasons. I now no longer have a spotter. I'm too much of a pussy to do bench press without a spotter, is it safe?
TL;DR Are spotters required?
I've never had a spotter, ever. just be careful. don't put clamps on that way you can dump the weights off on one side and then the other if you ever need to. I've only had to do it once in about 10 months.

And it does work the upper/mid traps, but not as much as the deadlift and the powerclean. For the lower traps you want chinups and pullups.

I've been struggling with phenibut addiction for some time now. I started taking it a couple years ago recreationally at 2g doses when I went out with friends. It was a lot of fun and helped me open up around others. I slowly started taking more throughout the week disregarding the 'horror stories' I had read because I never felt much of a hangover or any withdrawal when I stopped. I wish I hadn't been so stupid.

I'm in the same boat, started 2 years ago. 20g a day at my peak, I made a slow taper in excell for myself and I'm down to 5g a day now. Going to continue my taper slowly and get off this. I've been prescribed gabapentin before and it's supposed to be great for the withdrawals so I'll have a doctor write me a new scrip when I'm ready. At this point it does nothing for me, don't get high because of my massive doses before i can't wait till my taper is done.

Dinner I had before. Sweet potatoes with a veg filling, topped with a bit of mozzarella and chives, side salad of spinich, tomatoes, salad onions with a olive oil and lemon dressing, and 3 chicken breast fillets with piri-piri sprinkles
ugh wrong pic, that was dinner last night. That was brown pasta spaghetti with homemade pesto, stuffed chicken breast and salad.
I have done ICF for the past 5 months and I feel like I have hit a plateau.
Current lifts (1RM)
OHP : 60kgs
Bench : 70kgs
Squats : 100kgs
Deadlift : 160kgs
What routine do I switch to at this point to still make steady progression? My end goal is aesthetics with a strong core.
