weighted (barbell/plate) glute bridges and donkey kicks will help more.
Squats will only work your glutes properly if you go ass to grass with them, and even then, there's more effective ways.
Whether you want to shave your ass is up to you. It can help to reduce sweating in that area which is a nice plus. If you are going to remove hair, wax it. Shaving that area is just asking for ingrown hairs which is nightmarishly bad.

You can work wrists with 15-25 pound weights and just move your wrists up and down.
My advice is is get a real thick bar and lift so there's more weight for your hands and wrists to work.
