This surely can't be true?
ok ive read the sticky and have been weightlifting for 3 months. I go during my lunch hour at work and do 3 days weights and 2 days cardio as i was a skinny fat manlet
My 5"7 body has improved and im down to 64kg from 76kg and currently deadlifting 70kg.
I only have limited time in the gym however and i feel im not doing enough weight training in order to get stronger/bigger. Would i be able to ditch the cardio on the other 2 days and spend those instead doing bicep curls skullcrushers lat pulldowns and shrugs (as accessory work to the 5 compound movements...

well, weightlifting burns more calories than cardio but, in my absolutely non-professional by any means opinion, I'd say, if you want to build more muscle, you should lift on the other two days instead. If you think it's not enough for weight loss, you could add on the cardio at the end, as long as you don't overdo it/overexert yourself. Sprinting is better than constant light jogging, so I'd suggest sprints as well. Really though, you could do a 4 or 5 day split, and just do cardio on one or...

If you're ultra, mega vain then sure go for it.
But one thing people on this board forget is that you NEED cardio for solid heart health.

Anyone had some decent social gains lately?

I've been doing wrist curls and using pic related, but my forearms are still weak as fuck.
>>34944987
Hanging from a bar / rings for as long as you can
farmer walk

When deadlifting hold on to your last rep for as long as possible before putting it down.
Just stretching before lifting and figure I'll post some sweetness.
ITT: supplements you've probably never imagined to try, high test, questions being answered, meals -- whatever gets you motivated to lift.
If you need motivation to do something then you already failed. It is discipline that you must seek.
Not sure if you gents have heard, but there are amino acids for sale that not only have the potential to make you feel better; but tryptophan turns in to NAD which is shown to reverse aging.
>>34944846
You must mean "wisdom".
>>34944836
I really don't get the question. Are you saying meals, supplements and.... questions being answered (wut) motivates people to lift? What the fuck
>"I wish I knew what's a meme"
>"I'll check it on google"
>"Holly shit, so that is what it is! I am so motivated to lift now WOah!
inb4 brosplits
day1: chest & traps
day2: legs & abs
day3: shoulders & back
day4: biceps & triceps
is this shitty?any recommendations?
Train anyway you see fit, training should be fun for you. However, why not try something like, chest&tri - back&biceps - legs&shoulders, restday, repeat. Or maybe a p/p/l?
But if your diet is bad you wont make as much gains as you optimally would

yes

Does he edit all his videos himself? He trully got has some brain cells then...
anyone noticed that since theyve made some serious gains people go out of their way to mock you or discredit you?
i feel like all of a sudden everyone is looking for reasons to call me weak or skinny
even though im heavier and bigger than ive ever been
yes
people are jelly but fuck them brah
It's just them being insecure about their own bodies. My uncle says I build "fake muscle" in the gym all the time. Makes me want to OHP him out the fucking window
My friend whose been working out for a long time sometimes makes comments about how someone else is bigger than me or I lift small which isn't untrue but I've just started and I'm just putting on muscle for the first time in my life
Dear /fit/
Do you use chalk or straps?
What about belts?
In yes case; for which exercises and why?
lift well
Anon
I'm at lmao3pl8, so I don't lift heavy enough to justify any of these
>>34943959
My grip is shit so I can't go above 120 kg deadlift without straps, with straps I do 150 kg (70 kg bw). I do deadlift for my back, so I don't want grip to be a limiting factor. Never belt.
Chalk for everything. I don't see why you would train without it, all it does is let you use your full grip strength. I chalk for anything where my hands touch a bar.
Straps when I do snatch/clean pulls or final heavy sets of DL. It's rare that I DL though.
Tl;dr Help me with my tender infant pecs.
Hey guys, first time posting here so I'm not sure if this is common/has been answered etc. When I do my pushups I feel no burn in my pecs at all. It mainly hits my shoulders. I have been lifting on and off for 5 years (HS football I squatted 490 and benched only 220 while weighing 240 for ref) and it has always been this way even with the bench, I can't grow my pecs. While I understand this is THE sign of bad form I have asked many people including a personal trainer and they all say my form is fine.
1. Any tips...

Tuckyour elbows in and pull your shoulderblades together.
It's that easy, senpai
>>34943977
Seconded.
Also I would use wider grip on pushups, keep bench the same as you've always done.
>>34943977
>>34944020
>it's that easy
Shit you weren't kidding. Wish someone would have told me that forever ago. Thanks guys!
