What is your why?
Why do you lift?
The reason I'm working to better myself is to protect the ones I care about. I have this fear that makes me think of the worst possible scenarios that could happen to those I care about. Whether it be a home invasion, rape, mugging, etc. And I use that fear to make me work as hard as I can on my body so that if the situation does arise, I'll be able to meet that challenge.
Plus I also hate the idea that if I look in the mirror I'm going to hate that person looking back at me. I want to look good and feel...

honestly, 90% is to admire myself in the mirror and occasionally post picture of my body on /fit/
10% is self-defense and everything that falls under that umbrella
I honestly hide the fact that I have muscles and the only time people find out is when they're holding or lifting me out in public. No kidding it's always "solid", "rock", or "steel" when someone describes me.
What did you do when you found out women cannot love you no matter how much you lift?
>Women take interest in me
>But I always somehow fuck up
Last time it happened was about a month ago.
Why do I keep fucking up? I tried to make right with her but she's just not having it. So I gave up and have to move on.
>h-hold me brehs edition
I need some of these only to get through the day. I want to be able to think that some time I'll be able to say "Now it's me who's rejecting you". I'm a pathetic faggot on T-rex mode.
>tfw don't have any exes
m8 just completely cut off all contact. Delete her number, remove/block her on all social media, and don't frequent the places she goes. If your depression fuels your lifting then great but the less you think about her the better - lifting is a lifestyle choice and you don't want that to be forever associated with some cunt you broke up with
hey /fit/ i am doing a survey.
post weight then mile time
if you do not run, simply do not post
thanks in advance.
Alternatives to alcohol that won't kill my gains? Alcohol is a great social drug but I'm not a big fan of those empty cals. MDMA is an even more amazing social drug which doesn't kill your gains, but you can only do it safely once every few months. Are there any other social drugs out there that I could use on a once a week basis?
This is not an Onion article. Keep that in mind as you read. A free yoga class at the University of Ottawa has been banned by student leaders.
Despite being a yoga teacher, Scharf made a valid point. “People are just looking for a reason to be offended by anything they can find,” she said.
/fit/... I need your assistance.
Anyone here owns a home gym? What are the pro and cons? Do you regret having spent that money?
I'm thinking of getting a olympic bar, some weights, a bench, and squat stand (and some other non important stuff) for about 450-550€.
I'll be able to bench, deadlift, squat, curl, ohp, do dips, chin ups pulls ups, all the good stuff a guy can do without machines.
Is this too much money ? I can't get a power rack, too poor. But i think this setup will do the trick
A rack where i live is pretty darn expensive and to be fair, i've been on all the gyms in my city and never even seen one...
Post yfw winter
>endless supply of free food for bulk
>no more summer fags
>winter break, endless time to focus on what really matters, being huge
>dat cold air healing the joints
>see guys and girls with any kind of body hair at the gym/competitions
Please don't do this.
I'd untangle his taint hairs with my tongue
come at me OP
Hey sick cunts,
I've had a bulging disc for almost 9 months now.
Recently I've started dead lifting for the first time and squatting both with very low weight but high reps.
Is this a good method of rehab? I've also been stretching a lot .
Dyel boy till I die
>tfw deadlifts and squats fought for being your favorite movements
>tfw satisfying as fuck squat day
>tfw doing a deload set and a momentary loss of tightness and SNAp CiTY
Going on 6 months ago.. I eventually decided to stop anything that taxed the lower back at all and it seems to help, but I'll still randomly bend over slightly to brush my teeth over the sink and I can feel the dull pain coming from...

go see a doctor m8
honestly i wouldn't do any hard work with my back if I had a bulging disc, nevertheless keep your form really tight and don't do some heavy ass weights, stretch your shit out and consult a sport doctor or the internet about this (not 4chan).
You jelly of my post workout meal?
ITT: Foods you aren't tempted by because you never understood how people liked them.
Pic related for me. Seriously, why in the fuck do people eat muffins? They taste terrible, have awful texture, crumble all over the place, and are totally unpalatable without butter.
Alright /fit/ I'm having a huge argument with my friend is Chris Jones natty? I keep telling him hes not but he keeps going on about how natural his body looks
He trains with a retarded brosplit and he retains virtually all of his mass when he cuts.
He has an FFMI of 25.5, which puts him above what is considered to be the natural limit.
He is also a known liar and he even stole from a planet fitness.
How does she do it, /fit/? How is she not obese? She posts this shit every day.
>calories in, calories out
I've been working out for quite some time now (a few years) and i have seen my lifts go up drastically, but I see no visible changes in muscle mass (athletic build, haven't seen increases though).
For example, I squat 350 for 10, but my quads look just like they did when I first began working out
I don't take anything besides protein shakes after workouts and a high protein diet
What should I do? What am I doing wrong?
