Can I get ripped at YMCA?
I guess it depends on the area. Here in nh the Manchester gym is pretty decent. 2 power racks, 2 bench racks, plenty of oly and diddly bars. My friend lifts there too, he currently holds the state record for squat and deadlift in his division I think. However I heard the one in goffstown is absolute shit because its in the sticks and its pretty much all old people.
tl; dr friend squats over 6 plates and dl 715lbs(can't remember bench), works out at y exclusively

Why not keep that pace up and get proper results without some pills or some other shit that could potentially do more harm? Otherwise, you're going to end up gaining that fat back asap. Doing it the hard way forces you to learn discipline.

FIT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME? Been bulking for three months at 2700 calories, clean bulk consisting of a lot of rice, chicken, and protein shakes. I'm 5'10". I have made decent gains but my lifts just aren't progressing anymore, I cant even fucking bench one plate and can barely squat a plate. And I've just gotten fucking fat, i look like absolute shit, i went from skinny 138 to skinnyfat 154 with love handles and a stomach. I hit my diet goals eevry day and lift 5 days a week. TFW I weigh 185 can bench press 320 ohp 215 and squat 385 1rm but my deadlift has been stuck at 315 for years. Feelsbadman

I squat heavy 2x a week and deadlift once in the middle. My squats are 3x5 and deadlift is 1x5
how can i reconcile this routine and still do my cardio aka running. If I squat that much, i have a tough as fuck time just running and working on my cardio. Should i cut down my working sets to 2x5 or something?

My primary protein sources are whey and egg whites. I take well-reviewed multis that contain B12 in addition to Almond Milk with B12.
Hey, fit i just posted in the plg threads and got torn to shit. Apparently a 500 squat at 237 bodyweight is weak but whatever. I'm more of an aesthetics guy, anyway. I was wondering if there was any way to lower my calories. I can eat thousands upon thousands of calories and my metabolism keeps me from gaining any weight. If I do gain any it goes straight to my muscle but's it hard to keep on to my gains during comp. Here's a pic from last year's comp, just give me some ideas on how to lower my metabolism.
One way to beat your metabolism is to not do cardio, not sure what your routine is but you want to limit it. A guy with the amount of mass you have has to be careful about what he's doing "extra" in terms of calories. weight?

Form check on squats please. I don't powerlift, mostly just want to get a stronger high bar squat and stay more upright for weightlifting. /owg/ isn't really offering any advice, but someone told me to improve mobility (in what, I don't know)
Is the gym a good place to make friends? I lift at home and haven't had any friends since highschool. I'm 26 now and sick of having no bros.
