Can exercise cure mental health/depression? Drugs don't work. Help.
It's not a cure, but it is a treatment. In combination with medication, cognitive behavioural therapy and a decent support network exercise and diet can make a big difference to how you feel.

I need foods high in protein that I don't need to cook or keep refridgerated. I was eating about 4 cans of tuna and protein shakes but my doctor told me I'm showing signs of mercury poisoning without me telling him I eat a duck ton of tuna.
Where do you guys get your protein from real foods without cooking or freezing them?

I'm interested in running an EC stack once I start cutting in a few months. However, I was wondering if adderall could be used an an effective substitute. I've been prescribed adderall since I was 10 years old for ADHD. So /fit/, could adderall be used as an effective substitute?
Yeah adderall would just be a much stronger version of ec.
From my experience ec doesn't really do much for the metabolism it's really useful in suppressing appetite which adderall is obviously much better at.
What's your resting heart rate, /fit/? Mine's around 80 bpm.
I found out that squats wasn't enough to bring mine down so I've started doing cardio on rest days.

Start cutting. Being skinnyfat and bulking is a bad idea in the first place as you will only be fat for the longest time until you cut. Start cutting until you have a below average amout of fat and then slowly start bulking again.
I have the same problem my stomach is getting huge tried cutting at 1500 kcal but didint notice anything more than progress stalling (1 month). Now im eating 3000 kcal a day again and my stats are going up but my stomach is just out of control.
Have always had a problem with my stomach, its basically the only place where i have fat.

you are supposed to be resting in between sets, not doing cardio.
if you actually rest for 2-3 minutes, you will be able to lift more the next set.
lifting more = making more gains.

Are there any true health concerns with crash dieting(700+kcal/day deficit) if you are not concerned with maintaining mass, have the willpower to sustain it for a period and get all your micros?
I'm estimated at a TDEE of 2250 and I have been in the ball park of 1500 for the past week. I could potentially cut that even more. I know it's mom science that "starvation mode" but I don't know if there is a point of diminishing returns or like a soft cap for dieting like for +hit rating.

you will even maintain most LBM if you eat sufficient protein with resistance training.
only problem that can occur is if you are cutting too hard and you are doing lots of cardio, you will start fighting metabolic adaptation, and could stall on weight loss for other reasons too (cortisol levels, w/e)
but there is no reason not to crash diet if done intelligently.

As far as the martial arts go you're missing half of the picture if you don't train take-downs or ground game.
As far as bodily capability, I would add in flexibility training and tae-kwon-do for their kick variety, but that's just me.

I'm new to fitness and I desperately need to bulk up. I don't even know how to do deadlifts properly. Should I pay a trainer in a gym I'm about to start going to money to make me a program when there are so many on the internet? Or should I do my own research and just ask the trainer to show me how to do them moves?
