Did some dragon flag progression 5 days ago and heard a barely noticeable pop in lower back, ever since then I get moderate pain in lower back when I bend over. Did I enter the snap city?
Yes. Who do you think you are, Brice Lee? Nevermind, he entered snap city to. You are now Bruce Lee mode.

Cardio doesn't help you lose weight Or burn and calories
Sorry guys, but a cold beer 30 min after training is some of the best thing i have ever tasted and is really a motivator for me to train hard. The harder the better it taste. Anyone can give me validation that this is okay.

I've heard an enzyme in alcohol stops fat burning? But it may just be mom science
>>35116005
i had heard the calories in alcohol were less likely to be stored as bodyfat, because reasons...
so my broscience seems to corroborate your momscience.
also 4 beers is supposed to raise test levels.
also as long as it fits your calorie and macro goals, it's no problem
>>35115987
It's fine as long as you're not getting trashed. I do the same thing once in awhile
Will doing HIIT three times a week get rid of belly fat?

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a foam roller but I'm not sure if should get the long with the flat surface or the short one with the spiky surface (the two middle ones). Is there any major difference?
>>35115802
>Is there any major difference?
I like them if the gym has them available just because the knobs hit a spot on my scapula that I can never get out with a regular roller, but honestly if you're a poorfag you can get by with a PVC pipe and a lacross ball. I glued an old yoga mat to my pipe.
Depends on what you are going to foamroll. Some parts of the body cant handle too rough of a roll (the spine and sides of the knee etc.) and therefore the smooth "soft" roller would be best here.
>>35115802
Hijacking OPS thread to ask
How do I foam roll mid back?? I have the grid foam roller. Do I need a soft one?
Also when buying a lacrosse ball is there anything I should look out for or just buy whatever's cheapest?
I'm assuming I'm just a drooling idiot, but help me out here, /fit/. Yes, I've read the sticky.
But I had a question in regards to calorie consumption. I want to shed some flabbage (gained a bunch of weight when my wife got pregnant and I was working a stressful desk job for 12-14 hours a day). My apartment building has a decent gym, so I've started there. I live just outside Seattle, in an area where good, natural, healthy food is easy to come by. We don't eat crap, and I can't stand sweet/sugary stuff anyway.
Anyway, point is,...

Drop 300-500 below maintenance. Exercise and the weight will drop
I'm eating roughly 1100kcals and I'm not particularly hungry. eat more protein.
How important is milk on a cut?
Adult mammals are not supposed to drink milk. Have you considered going vegan, OP?
>>35115698
If you're drinking it just for calcium drink almond milk instead less calories
>>35115752
Can't you lose bone density? And yeah, a few times. I'm already a veggie.
>changed my grip on benchpress so my forearms are vertical when the bar touches my chest
HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER
Ive been benchpressing wrong for like 6 months!
>>35115692
I'm going to start switching up my grip I've been struggling to increase the weigh for a couple of weeks
>>35115839
if you feel the lift mainly in your arms + triceps, you probably have a too narrow grip
if you are limited by shoulder pain, you have a too wide grip
>>35115692
what do you mean? how were they before?
I work in cement testing and there are usually buckets like these with cement inside. Can one begin their lifting adventures with buckets?
>>35115626
Farmer's carry
shrugs.
you could maybe do kettlebell swing type things for cardio (if you're looking for nogains)
not much for now, but at least when you start lifting later on, you won't be quite as limited by forearm/grip strength.
Yes, definitely, but the results will only get you so far. You won't become a monster just lugging around buckets. The good news is that weighted carries, which I'm guessing is what you'll be doing with them, is one of the best, if not the best exercises you can do. Weighted carries work out every muscle in your body, especially your legs, back and forearms which are all your most important muscle groups for generating strength. Weighted carries also will work your core a lot, and hit your bi's to a certain degree. Different variations of carries hit different...

Does fit eat avocados? They're considered super healthy by doctors, but do they help with gains? How often do you have them and how do you eat them?
Half of one a day

I eat them several times a week
They go so incredibly well with beef

I'd say a tad leaner than 15%, he has weird fat distribution though.
Say your maintenance level calories is 3,500. If you eat enough protein, say 200 grams, around 100 grams of fat, and the rest carbs, would this make you fat? I know carbs aren't bad for you, just too much are like any other thing, but as long as you aren't going over your daily calories will you gain any fat since you are eating so many carbs?
