What program did you individually get the best gains on? Was it your favorite?
A modified version Texas Method + Bodyweight I did 5 years ago for a year & then 5/3/1.
Made best hypertrophy from Texas + BW and strength on 5/3/1
Been doing SL for 3 months as I've finally developed the mobility to do a full a2g squat now and building solid foundations.
Going to do a customised version of Greyskull LP
Decided I wanted to get /fit/. So about a year ago I put together a plan. Step 1 was bulking.
I am 5'9" weighed 180 pounds at the beginning of my bulk, it took nine months and a TON of work, but by the end of my bulk I was up to 245 pounds. One of the hardest things I've ever done.
So step 2 is the easy part, getting /fit/. Gonna start tomorrow.
I do have a question for you however. Is there anyway to get /fit/ without actually lifting weights? I have a bad forearm and I don't want to make it worse.
>5'9" weighed 180 pounds at the beginning of my bulk
what the fuck?
i am 5'9 185, have never lifted, and am at least 18% bodyfat.
how fucking fat were you when you bulked?
5'9 180 is the natty fucking limit at 10% bodyfat
obviously you weren't at the natty limit when you first started to get fit.
why didn't you cut first?
Got the impression from browsing here the last couple years and yahoo answers that the first step to getting fit is putting on 30+ pounds in the least.
Will post progress pics once i figure out how to xfers pics from my phone to computer
Serious question, how many (actual) pushups can you do in a row?
What brand of protein powder should I buy?
So do you all really eat about 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight?? Or am I reading the sticky wrong??
>How am I going to be able to afford that much when I am only making 20 dollars a hour?? That's like 3 entire cows a day
>I have no picture related to this question please don't delete pls
please tell me whats wrong with me
please tell i can make it
why the fuck do i look like this
please tell me i can cut
What does /fit/ think of seaweed?
Did some dragon flag progression 5 days ago and heard a barely noticeable pop in lower back, ever since then I get moderate pain in lower back when I bend over. Did I enter the snap city?
Srs walk 3 miles everyday I lost 30lbs in 3 months and I still had a shit diet
>reached my biggest at 315
>started calorie counting in July
>weighing in at 263 today
Sure glad I didn't get my mom's fat genes, now I just gotta get out of my fat jeans.

just don't lose faith when you start to stall on your weight loss.
and come join the /intermittentfasting/ masterrace.
greg o'gallagher and natty gains await you.
Sorry guys, but a cold beer 30 min after training is some of the best thing i have ever tasted and is really a motivator for me to train hard. The harder the better it taste. Anyone can give me validation that this is okay.
i had heard the calories in alcohol were less likely to be stored as bodyfat, because reasons...
so my broscience seems to corroborate your momscience.
also 4 beers is supposed to raise test levels.
also as long as it fits your calorie and macro goals, it's no problem
Will doing HIIT three times a week get rid of belly fat?
Hey, I'm thinking about getting a foam roller but I'm not sure if should get the long with the flat surface or the short one with the spiky surface (the two middle ones). Is there any major difference?
>Is there any major difference?
I like them if the gym has them available just because the knobs hit a spot on my scapula that I can never get out with a regular roller, but honestly if you're a poorfag you can get by with a PVC pipe and a lacross ball. I glued an old yoga mat to my pipe.
Depends on what you are going to foamroll. Some parts of the body cant handle too rough of a roll (the spine and sides of the knee etc.) and therefore the smooth "soft" roller would be best here.
Hijacking OPS thread to ask
How do I foam roll mid back?? I have the grid foam roller. Do I need a soft one?
Also when buying a lacrosse ball is there anything I should look out for or just buy whatever's cheapest?
I'm assuming I'm just a drooling idiot, but help me out here, /fit/. Yes, I've read the sticky.
But I had a question in regards to calorie consumption. I want to shed some flabbage (gained a bunch of weight when my wife got pregnant and I was working a stressful desk job for 12-14 hours a day). My apartment building has a decent gym, so I've started there. I live just outside Seattle, in an area where good, natural, healthy food is easy to come by. We don't eat crap, and I can't stand sweet/sugary stuff anyway.
Anyway, point is,...
