Hi fiber, e/lit/ist here.
I was wondering, do any of you guys know anyone who was active in the bodybuilding community that had to get a leg amputated because of diabetes???
Like if the person wasn't treating their illness, must ignored it?
Pic not related, all i have in my tablet atm(that is sfw)
Weight lifting improves glucose sensitivity to such an extent that it is very rare for bodybuilders to develop diabetes.
The only exceptions to this are those that are morbidly obese, extreme genetic disposition, and those that are actually injecting insulin for bodybuilding purposes.
There are normal people that drink up to a liter of soda every day, and they will still have normal resting glucose levels.
You have to go hard with a shitty diet and sedentary lifestyle to actually develop type two diabetes
Nobody even looks like they lift. What's going on?
This is why I don't take any of you retards seriously or the le 5x5 le functional compounds routines you post seriously at all.
5x5, compounds only, "bulking," it's all a load of shit and almost none of you fags know anything.
Should I bulk or cut guys? 5'8 160lbs
is this pic accurate?
No, that's a recipe for breaking your shit off.
IMO, if you can't get your back near 45 conventional, try semisumo or trap bar. If that doesn't work go full sumo.
Impressing internet strangers with lift numbers is not worth permanent back injury unless you're a total retard sheep.
>not relinquishing your humanity and going on a dirty bulk
>not being an extreme hedonist and eat everything in sight while becoming ungodly levels of strong
>not cutting after food bores you and becoming a Greek god
So, what's up with sugar? How much is too much, and is it really as evil as people make it out to be?
Basically, red-pill me on sugar
No, it's not evil. It's like any other good you can consume. Most western diets contain "too much" sugar, particularly refined sugar & corn-derived sugar. Corn syrup is cheap because government subsidizes its production. Cheap sugar means more food manufacturers put it into their products (because sugar tastes good, and people buy more shit if it tastes good).
Eat a diet consisting of mostly whole, unprocessed foods, and you'll be fine.
who else is doing a minicut on theyre winter/christmas uni break?
Ive got about 4 weeks to drop as much fat as i can without losing any gains. Redpill me senpai f.am
They come in 12.5mg, so im gonna take a whole one and a half as my max normal dose.
Im gonna start warming my body up to E before i leave uni to make sure i get the most out of these 4 weeks
/fit/ which steroids can I "safely" use to get gains but still have a high sperm count? I still want kids later in life.
So /fit/ decided to get my life together and stop being a weakling. About 12 weeks ago I started lifting using the 5x5 work out. Day one I would start with 100lbs on every lift then go up 10lbs on every set. If I got all 5 reps I'd go up 5lbs next lift day, if 6-9 reps up 10lbs, and 10+ up 15lbs. So I finally decided to max out today, here are my stats.
>6ft, 180lbs, 29 yo

People have different starting points.
Don't worry, after a while your squat will go right past your bench. That said, your bench is very high for a beginner.
If your knees are up to it, you could increase squat volume. Knee sleeves will help with ensuring you don't suffer patella problems. Rehband blues are my preference.
You will probably find that your legs are suitably developed, and you simply need to get the muscle memory to squat heavier. This applies to both High Bar ATG and Low Bar variants.
>mfw lifting for 9 months and a beginner benches 2 times more than me
I think my form is off. When I maxed at 245 my knees seemed to go inward a little towards the and didn't feel right at all
Always had strong upper body growing up. Remember being able to do 100+push ups in high school and 20+plus pull ups. I weighed 150 back then and skinny as fuck though
How have lifting changed you?
>go to bar with friends
>have to piss a lot
>1 gallon of water a day masterrace
>notice bathroom is empty
>wait for someone to come in
>2 guys come in
>they each take left and right

>at bar with friend, been drinking a little
>we both have to piss, head to bathroom
>man awkwardly waiting in bathroom
>friend takes left urinal, I take far right
>all of a sudden like a shark moving in on prey the awkward guy takes the middle urinal
>he looks down at both of our dicks
>absolutely disgusted, too uncomfortable to piss now, friend is too
>weird guy start pissing and farting at the same time
>he starts moaning until he finishes pissing, longest minute of my life
>still too uncomfortable to piss
>he says "excuse me boys" and leaves without washing his hands
>we continue standing by the urinals in awkward silence at what just transpired
>decide to get /fit/ two years ago
>do SS because /fit/ tells me
>DL 450 lbs
>Bench 260 lbs
>Squat 410 lbs
>6'5 190 to 6'5 230
>Legs only fit in relaxed fit jeans
>I want to work out, what should I do?
>well most people say that some sort of split involving high volume is ideal for muscle growth and will also get you significantly stronger, but a board full of DYEL autists recommends me follow the advice of a fatass who thinks looking good is for wimps
>Better do SS!
What does /fit/ think about Jason Blaha?
What you guys think about ScottHermanFitness?
he seems pretty smart on the fitness area, should i rely the answers to my questions on his vids?
One of his vids
Hes a cool guy. He consistently has good content and advice, is pretty humble and spends time answering questions from subscribers . Certainly one of the better youtube fitness channels
Anyone ever been in the army?
I knew some people that went overseas or in the reserve and came back drastically changed.
They gained 20+ pounds of muscle really fast.
Whats the training? Are they smuggling test inside your food?
I refuse to believe you get this big while only running, doing push ups and pull ups.
I got done with basic training and now Im a month into Advanced individual training. And I have gained quite the gut, not any more shredded or any of that shit. I can just do push ups and sit ups well, and run good too.
The only army guys who look like that are the ones who go above and beyond and actually try. You do not look like that by just doing morning pt
Alright guys I tried again
I can't keep my knee from going fwd
Pls no bully
> tfw my knees do kinda hurt when I try to climb stairs or bend down and pick something up
How can I fix?
