What do you do for work? Does your job help you make gains? Do you wish lifting was part of your job? How close is the nearest gym from your work?
It's the gains goblin of careers. Sitting on my ass in a chair all day is fucking my posture. Everyone in the office pounds Cokes and take-away food all day.And there's a couple of skinny-fat / chubby dudes who when discussing their weight (over 100kg when they're only like 5'8") honestly believe it's all muscle.
Can someone explain to me how this thing works?

Am looking for advice on how to effectively train the Vastus Medialis Oblique as part of Patellofemural Pain Syndrome treatment.
I've always had pretty bad knees but for the past two years or so I've had significant discomfort (and sometimes pain) as a result of patellar maltracking and audible clicking and grinding of the kneecap over the femur.
I've been working on this for about 6 months now but things have improved only marginally. So who here has personal experience with PFPS and/or Vastus Medialis training and can guide me towards exercises...

I know people who swear by using just the top 30 degrees or so of the leg extension machine for high reps as a means of helping knee tracking issues.
But I have no idea if it'll work or even be a good idea in your case.

No sorry. As soon as you use mixed grip, a squadron of /fraud/ will parachute down screaming LIGHT WEIGHT and inject you with creatine and semen and you lose your n-card.
pretty rare, so long as you make sure to keep slack. Hook grip gets kind of painful at heavy weights

My body currently looks like pic related, except for one difference. I've been lifting on a deficit to cut my bf some, but my ass has somehow managed to get plumper. I do kickbacks, lunges, squats every other day, and yet my ass is going in the direction I don't want it to go.

Is marijuana usage conducive to muscle gains, assuming a proper lifting routine and diet?
From my own anecdotal experience, I've found a spliff before a workout is quite helpful in allowing me to focus on the muscle contraction and really push that weight up. I get the most sore after workouts while under the influence of marijuana, however, this may be due to the drug itself and not the workout.
This thread happens everyday, and I'll sum up what each one of them comes to:

Is cardio essential to end up lean when cutting?
cardio is the simplest way to raise your TDEE
higher TDEE => more food => faster metabolism => faster recovery/healing
higher TDEE => same deficit is less of your total food => easier cutting
2000 kcal TDEE w/500 kcal deficit => 25% reduction in food
3000 kcal TDEE w/500 kcal deficit => 17% reduction in food
only way cardio sucks is if you don't eat
huge deficits from cardio alone is fucking insanity
Hey guys, I've been really having awful shits and gas the last couple days. The only thing in my diet that's changed that much is me trying out soy protein in my shakes. Is this stuff known to cause that kind of indigestion or did I just fuck my shit up from something else?
