I outsize my colleagues by 20-30lbs and I'm a solid 4 inches taller than most of them, probably stronger than them too and I just know I could snap them like twigs in a fight yet I'm still the butt of all the office jokes and get the piss taken out of me constantly, why?

No, a 500 deficit to avoid muscle loss is literally autism.
Just double it, twice the speed, do a 1000 deficit.
You'll get the cut done in half the time and you can get back to bulking.

If you want to avoid these hormones your best course of sction would be to go vegan.
The estrogens in soy are plant based and studies suggest these can not be absorbed by the body, still avoiding soy is not bad.
Animal products are filled with crap and avoiding them will be very beneficial to your long term health.
