What is /fit/'s opinion on Jim Wendler's 5/3/1?
I just decided to move to 5/3/1 following about 6 months of Phrak's GSLP. I'm doing the Big But Boring accessories. Today was my OHP day, and I have to say, it was very different. I was only in the gym for about 30 minutes as opposed to my usual hour, but my shoulders feel absolutely nuked.
Anyone have any experience and seen any results with this method?
this is a solid routine. and you will see gains from BBB if you eat right
make sure to stretch and take care of yourself because that shit will be killer. especially lower back pumps on deadlift day
Yeah. I was only doing 70lbs at 5x10, but holy shit after the warmups and 125x7, the 5x10 absolutely annihilated me. I definitely don't feel like I deprived myself a good workout despite the short duration.
Is it possible to make any gains while staying cut/lean
7 years lifter here.
Absolutely. But unless it's noob gain, you need to have everything in check (flawless nutrition, 10+ hours a week at the gym, plenty of sleep, some cardio and a good routine)
Why bro splits get so much hate lately?
inb4 If you're a natty bro splits are pointless.
If you're a natty bro splits are pointless
Muscle protein synthesis is complete within 48 hours of training. You are wasting days of potential muscle growth by not training every muscle again.
People that do bro splits as naturals are just fucking around in the gym and wasting time.
because they ARE pointless if you are natty.
you can only handle so much volume and still recuperate, so adding in more volume than you could get from a fullbody or U/L or P/P/L is retarded.
muscle frequency a shit.
Do i even lift?
no .. you are even under average black male genetics atm
im sure lifting this camera gave you a lot of gains right after taking this pics tho
maybe start adding some weights and you will look like a greek warrior soon haha

What type of gym equipment do you use, /fit/?
>have shirts from a year ago I haven't worn because I was stretching them out and my nasty manbitchtits would be showing
>put one on this morning because no clean clothes
>bitchtits aren't stretching it out
>recently bought new jeans that the same size as when I was in high school and they're comfy, not super tight like they were even back then.

feel pretty beta desu lads
Let's say you've been lifting for 4-5 years. General consensus is that it is much harder to put on muscle mass at this point. My question is, if you're still eating at a 500 kcal surplus, but not gaining muscle at the rate of a beginner, where does that energy from your surplus go?
Also, what do you plan to do if/when you reach the natty limit?
i swear 99% of all you fucking mongol retards on this board should take 30 mins out of your day to watch some easy comprehensive youtube videos to educate yoruself on your own body instead of wasting 100 x the time on shitposting and asking stupid question about your own body
Have you ever been called ugly?
Before lifting? What about after lifting?
(Friends and retards don't count)
i had dickhead friends in highschool that gave me shit for being ugly all the time. so i got a fucking complex from it but as i've gone through my twenties i've gotten plenty of compliments on being handsome, even from dudes.
What the fuck cause those "weak days"? All the gym rats I know experience it, and I haven't been able to figure out what I do that causes it.
Like last week I three repped 235 on bench but yesterday I almost failed one rep of 215. Today I was back at 3x 235. What the fuck?
Just like an anon recomended in another thread, to treat skin problems.
Now we're here.
Not sure if this is a good idea anymore.
>Vitamin A 25000UI
It's amazing how 4chan's fit faggots actively purse newer ways to fuck up their liver - without steroids too!
Never, never follow advices on this board. I bet you didn't even research the toxicity ot that dosages. >>35284407
>Let's get this straight: The number of dieters who go from fat to thin, and stay there, statistically rounds down to zero.
>So please remember this the next time the subject comes up at the office or on some message board and you get bombarded by thin 20-year-olds insisting the obese need to just "cut out the junk food" or "take care of themselves" or "do some exercise." The body physically won't allow that for a formerly fat person.
What do you think of this? Is...

It's BS. People fail because they do a stupid diet like only eating pineapples without integrating proper nutrition and exercise in their life. Considering I went from fat to skinny in 2009 and maintained that weight, safe from a SS bulk, this is absolute hog wash.
Don't believe this. My sister lost 150lbs three years ago and is happier than ever, she lifts and is active in life. You guys can do it too.
This is the ideal body. Look at his legs. These are the legs of someone who skips leg days or maybe does some leg pressing every now and then.
Why do you continue squatting and sweating your ass off when you can just run every now and then get aesthetic legs?
>there are people on fit who still thinks big legs are aesthetic
