So yesterday I broke my ankle, and I'm pretty annoyed since it means I can't lift.
However, is it okay to do non-machine based exercises like push ups, sit ups, crunches, lats/abs etc, if I'm not putting direct pressure on the ankle?
Or should I just suck it up and hold off until it heals?
Stress travels throughout the body bro. Your going to delay the healing process.
Lifting while taking pain meds isnt really a good idea either.
You'd be surprised at home much stability your ankle offers even on exercises where the legs aren't involved.
Tldr. Don't workout if your really messed up. Take it slow.
What do you do to get over workout pains - the first ones you get, at least? Exercising always gets me so sore I want to cut myself open and glue my tendons back together and... I don't know, it's just that I'm so intolerant to pain that it drives me crazy, sometimes to the point of tears, y'know.
And it's not even anything intense; even some light jogging is enough to break me.

Try not to slump or do sedentary activities for shorter periods of time. Keep shoulders pinned back at a comfortable level. I find that sleeping on my back has gotten easier since I built up a little muscle.
I'm eighteen, 6'3" and 147 pounds. I really want to lose my face fat/chubby cheeks. I want to lose more weight in the hopes I will lose face in my face as a result of losing fat overall, but I fear anything more will be unhealthy. I'm out guys. Been on a 1k calorie deficit for a month and have hit the gym for 40 mins of cardio + lifting every single day. Checked the scale today and I've somehow gained 3kg. This is fucking bullshit and I feel bad for any suckers who fall for the fit meme.
Be honest with yourself. How well are you counting your calories.
If that checks out, it could just be water weight. When are you weighing yourself. If you're doing cardio, you might just be drinking a lot of water, as you should.
