Hey /fit/, I will attend military selections in September/October 2016. A part from lot of cardio, i'm trying to set up a workout routine to get prepared.
I've had for a long time some homegym equipment in my basement. Bench, barbell, dumbbells and plates (90kg / 200 lbs total).
I'm not training for aesthetics, but for strength and hopefully a bit of overall size.
What's your advice?

Why does everyone shit on bro splits? Almost everyone that looks good did them on /r/progress, and even on here. There are like a handful of people I have seen get aesthetic from SS, SL etc.
I'm not doubting that SS and SL are better for strength gains, but if I've done SS for 6 months, is there any reason I shouldn't go on a bro split? They seem so fucking fun.

The only male "role model" I had was my older brother who was the school bully, bullied me at home, made me hate myself, have no confidence, think I was weak. I became my grade's bully as an outlet. I thought beating weaker kids asserted me as the strong, cool kid. I craved not being the weak disgusting peace of shit that my brother had taught me I was, so I kept bullying.
Looking back I realize how important a father figure is, and how single mothers and divorce are much worse than a traditional family model.
