Bulking should be done slowly, getting fat so you can lift more isn't that fun.
Don't go to failure that often.
How you feel is a lie, I've often felt garbage when I stepped into the gym and then gotten a great workout.
Big weights are fun but most sets should be done with less then 90% of your max if you want to get stronger.

Bros, finally convinced my brother to start lifting and exercising. He is 6'5 and 425 lbs. I took him to the gym and we did some isolations. (He didn't feel comfortable with squats/deadlifts yet.) We also do 30 minutes of cardio. (Walking.) Any more ways I can help him? He has lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks. I know he should be losing a lot more but it's a start. He's also surprisingly athletic for his size.

i can see you're leaning forward a bit while coming up, which is forcing you to use your lower back to help push the weight back. you need to keep the bar going up and down in a straight path over your foot.
i had the exact same problem, but the only way i could sit back far enough to get rid of it was by stretching like crazy before lifting, wearing oly shoes, and switching to low bar. my ankle mobility is sad and sad.

Is it normal to have bloodshot eyes after a heavy set of squats? I'm doing TM and after intensity day squats (about 370 right now) my eyes are always red. Should I be worried?
