A common idea amongst the general public is that late night eating leads to storage of more fat than usual, when consuming the same amount of calories at other times of the day, when perhaps you would be more active (burning more energy). What do you think?
i eat when i wake up and before i go to sleep. The hole store more fat thing is most likely total bullshit. The eating carbs at night thing being bad is total bullshit. i usually have a bunch of greek yogurt and some granola and fruit before i go to sleep. Not much fat and a lot of protein and fiber.
Hi /fit/, I'm relatively new to the whole workout thing only been consistently at the gym for 6 months inconsistently another 6 months before that. I've started to stall on some exercises and I thought maybe it's because I'm not eating enough. I decided to use my fitness pal to see how much I need to eat and how much I am eating. To gain weight I should eat 3200 calories a day. However I play an Australian sport and do HIIT three days a week plus gym at least another 3 days. So I estimate I should be eating around 4000 calories a day to be putting on mass.

How do I stay motivated /fit/ ? I've been going to the gym now for 9 months or so but I notice I lose motivation. Like I want to go home sooner and sooner and I havent increased the weights in a month or 2. Kinda like i'm losing energy.
Do you got any tips on how to get that beginners rush back again?
I do full body 3 days a week if that matters.
You have to get your social bar up. I know it's a pain, but what I found that helps is taking one day off of work to call people over to have a party to get your social bar good for a few days.
I also hated how you needed to have like a million fucking family friends in the game to become a general or astronaut or whatever the military track was
I'm fucking done with my gym. Today i was lifting and this instructor snapped at me:
>you cannot use the olympic barbell for squatting, might hurt someone, use the fixed weight barbell or the smith machine
Then proceeded to deadlift and he comes again:
>same applies for this excercise, do it on the smith machine
I live in Brazil and this happened at Smart Fit, it's like a brazilian Planet Fitness...
Hello there /fit/
Where do i start getting fit?
What type of workout do i start with?
>tfw you realize that every roided up fuck that you guys look up to is going to die of a heart attack or stroke before they reach 40
Luckily Arnold is only 35, he must have atleast 5 more years until he drops dead from STERON ABUSE
Does anyone else here do lowish protein?
I'm around 87kg and only eat around 100-120 grams of protien a day and still make strength gains.
The biggest factor for gains seems to be sleep.
You're eating the correct amount. 1g/lb is a retarded idea.
Studies on it suggest 0.77g/lb as already being too much and 0.55g/lb being about ideal (or 105g for you).
But people just go with 1g/lb because hey, it's better to have it and not use it than to have too little, eh?
>be 5'4 105lb manlet cardio bunny
>6'2 fit grill from the gym taken an interest in me
what are my chances that this is is a blessing and not a joke or pity?
Do you count protein shakes as a meal?
I squatted lmao1pl8 today. Felt really good to put big boy plates on the bar.

Been working out for 3 months now and seen some gains, though I still have a lot of fat to lose.
Now I have began to notice that my eating schedule needs to be timed to my workout, so I have energy when I am at the gym.
What are some good pre workout foods to consider?
Shill me the protein powder that you use. I'm currently using some stuff I bought at Walmart, wondering if I should switch, or if it really makes any difference.
Any truth to this or is it a meme? I saw some NYR style posts on FB about this but I never heard of it before.
