Do you have to point your toes out on a squat? What is the purpose of it? Is it required? What about people who have external rotation injuries of the knee?

I find it incredibly hard to squat without pointing my toes out pretty far
Always worries me too but I just got up to 2pl8 and haven't gotten hurt yet
I only point my toes out with a wide stance, because my femurs are long as fuck. It's literally the only way for me to squat properly.
Manlets don't have this problem typically.

Let me explain this to you better than the sticky can.
You are, right now, an untrained lifter. Your potential to build muscle is much, much greater than other peoples' because you have yet to begin training for weightlifting. Because of this, you should not do a program that divides your body into a bunch of parts and has you lifting minuscule amounts of weight for a lot of reps.
Instead, you should focus on full body workouts that target the main muscles and require stabilization from smaller muscles.

After the first couple of months you can add more exercises for the arms and stuff. Just stick to the main lifts for at least 2 months.

It's not that it's easy to get to, but that as long as you're consistent with your programming anyone can attain it (give or take).
There are people that are like "hurr durr i did 1/2/3/4 for reps on my second workout" or some shit like that. Depending on where you start it can take a while. Hungry skelly could take well over a year or two versus someone who played a lot of football in highschool or something similar it could only take a few months since they were really close anyway.

just made a smoothie with some. I live with parents when home from college and my mom bought plan yogurt, instead of greek yogurt. But i used plain yogurt, kefir, banana, strawberries, spinach, and a spoon on peanut butter. Nice as smoothie.
