I'm a 5"6 33 yr old male.
Here's where I am maxing out:
Dumbell: 35 lbs 5 reps
Barbell: 45 lbs at 20 reps
I've been working at this for a year now.
Am I just genetically limited?
Who else is a minimalist when it comes to lifting?
>kb frot squat
I do both lifts twice a week, along with a bunch of chin-ups every day. Feels good to be free of all those isolation exercises, counting macros and being obsessed with aesthetics. Just like lifting some weights eating healthy and letting the rest fall into place. You guys should try it out some time
Would you be happy if your gf's body looked like this /fit/ ?
I think the slight potbelly like that is kinda hot desu
the only problem I have is she may be a little too muscular, or at least on the edge. traps and shoulders are very defined, especially considering how much fat she has.
I am 100% certain I have long head of the biceps tendinitis. What can I do to heal this thing? It's been a pain in the fucking ass for a while now. What movements should I not do that would irritate it? How can I get this better? Thanks.
Im getting back to the gym after one year off. I have 1 month of training and Im thinking in getting oxandrolone. What are you guys feelings about "beginners" using drugs?
Pic related, it's my breakfast. Multigrain high fiber toast, free range eggs, homemade strawberry preserves, and Irish butter. The coffee is awesome local fair trade stuff with cream.
Post what you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner on an average day.
Tuna sandwich or some other variety of sand witch for break fast
I sleep through lunch
Dinner is either
- chicken noodle soup
- steak filet and mashed red taters
I work graveyard so I gotta reheat my meals
^This guy reckons you can lose up to 6.8 kg (15 lbs) p/week of body fat and water. Is he just talking out of his ass or is this actually possible without the use of drugs?
Depending on how fat you are and how much carbs salt intake you are used to. When I did RFL 2.0 first week lost 6.5 kgs afterwards it was a steady 2kg per week till I stopped 5 weeks in. If you do any sort of lifting beyond 1/2/3/4 I would never do this again since I lost so much strength from upper body and had to build up 10 kgs of bench.
I wonder, because I lost a bit more than that during two weeks of rest and junk food. I put the weight back on (muscle) the second I started hiking and cardio again. I wonder if I retain fluid like a motherfucker when I exercise. I've been fasting all week ( have not eaten more than 755 kcals between Monday and Friday) and doing an hour aerobics a day but weight is not budging. Could be fluid. When my Dr last switched by birth control I swear I lost 1/3 of my mass almost overnight and read that BC pills contribute to edema. Don't know about men though.
Help me /fit/. What would you do in my situation?
Just tried sardines for the first time. Holy shit they're delicious! And cheap as fuck. Why have I never tried these before?
Is there any cons to having your own "gym" at home
protect floor from heavy weights
having to move all of that heavy shit if you move
possibility of being alone if you fuck up and really injure yourself
none of those would deter me though. can't because of #1 and don't want to because of good possibility of #4, but if those were sorted out, i would do it asap. waiting for equipment gets old REALLY fucking fast
Tell me about your injuries
Rotator cuff tear
Broken wrist ligament
Fugged up my back mang
Is there any truth to being able to lift more when you have a spotter. I find that when I have a buddy of mine spotting me on something like bench I can lift 20% more than normal. 255lbs becomes easy for me when I struggle with 225lbs by myself. And before you say anything, no he is not stealing my gains by lifting it for me.
I wouldn't know, I've never benched with a spotter and probably never will. If you steadily increase weight by small increments you'll never be lifting too much to rack it on the safety pins and will still make strength gains.
>Calves are only genetics
When will this meme die?
No wonder you fucking calflets have small calves when you've already given up before you started.
>almost half his body is pure fat
>not bulking with blue rice
