Are there any real negative effects in regards to lifting if you smoke? I don't mean negative health effects, I know those exist, but any related to lifting specifically?

What's the point of smoking? It doesn't have any mind altering effects, so what possible benefits do you get for a very much increased chance of death? At least with drugs like marijuana and alcohol you get fucked up in exchange for the risks.
Reduced lung capacity is probably the biggest one, and I've heard some people have a reduced appetite from the nicotine. I don't think it affects muscle synthesis or anything like that though.

last time I cut on 2k calories it took me nearly half a year to drop 15-20 pounds.
i honestly dont even think its worth cutting unless you go all OUT on like 1k cals or so. it just takes too god damn long otherwise

i did it once, i was extremely hungry after the first day and when it finally came to eating time i ate so much i felt sick the next 4hrs which lead to me vomiting.

I think humans are evolved to be fast and famine animals so it wouldn't surprise me if having a week long fast once a year was healthier than 3 meals a day for the whole year.
I also remember reading somewhere that it takes 64 hours or something like that before the body starts to react to not having eaten. I'm not sure if I misunderstood what I was reading, though.

I could pretty easily get on TRT if I wanted to. I'm 30, and a hard gainer, even with a fantastic progressive overload regimen + nutrition + rest. There's a TRT clinic locally that I know would hook me up.
The question is, is it worth it? I have good strength, and I'm not a total narcissist about my physique. I've read pretty bad things about TRT long term, including heart problems due to more red blood cells, as well as unpredictable hormone issues. That, plus the fact that your balls basically shutdown completely, meaning you're locked into TRT forever unless you can jump start them back up again, makes it pretty unappealing.
What say you about TRT?

I, too, would like to hit statham mode, but I have a weak chin and a neck that looks thin from the front. I guess at least, I can grow a mean beard that disguises that.
