It's been a while, but ask a certified personal trainer anything
Well before I took the course. I enjoyed taking it, and it changed how I saw fitness in a lot of ways even if I didn't necessarily learn more about benching or whatever. Would recommend.
Am I going to lose all of my gains in the military?
I look good now after three years of lifting and I know after basic im going to lose gains but I plan on bulking afterwards.
Is that even possible when traveling the world?
Not if you don't want to.
Yes, you will lose some gains in basic most likely. But they should bounce back quick. I got flabby in basic and have bounced back to pretty good shape. You'll find a lot of scrubs chose not to go to the gym and instead just race home to sleep, then whine about losing gains. If you're determined, hard working, and don't order fucking dominos every night in the barracks, you can stay pretty damn decent looking.
Basic training kills your gains slightly because of the lack of sleep, but it's only temporary. Make sure to eat and hydrate.
If you are joining the Navy, your ship usually has a tiny gym area, and when you are on land at your unit, you get to have awesome military gyms to use. Plus you get a lot of food. This is coming from Canada though, I dunno what the standards are in the US, I assume it's similar, if not better.
you act like you're going to spend 4 years consecutively on a boat, you will have blenty of time to get your gainarinos back. plus when you're on a MEU just become bro-tier with whatever Marine infantry units traveling with you and they might let you buy gear off of them
>tfw half of 1/6 got me in the best shape of my life and Romanian strippers hate black guys with a passion
Do you hate fat people who are trying to better themselves?
Everyone deserves a shot. It's hard to be perfect but why sit at a plateau when you should always be trying to be better
> never be okay being a fatty
ITT: We discuss our progress and journey to the eternal glory of the 1000 pound club. For those unfamiliar with the thousand pound club.
(Bench Max+ Squat Max+ Deadlift Max = 1000+)
Those of you who have already hit the milestone:
- How long did it take you?
- What is your current total?
- Juicing or natty?
Total: 855lbs (Approx. 14 months of natty lifting)

Can /fit/ say some things to convince me to an hero for being 5'9. I'll never be 6ft so I need your guidance please. I'll always and never be an optimal man. I never cared about my height till I started reading about the stigma.

Any body here ever have ptsd? Webm somewhat related
How do you all sleep 8+ hours a night? My normal is 6 hours, sometimes less, sometimes slightly more if I'm taking dramamine or something. I hear some bodybuilders sleep 10 , how the fuck?
Just sleep as much as you can. Go to bed before 10 on a saturday, don't use any alarm, don't watch tv after 8pm.
When you wake up, take the time. That's how much you actually need to sleep. It's fine if you sleep less; I sleep exactly 7,5 hours, give or take a couple of minutes.
>i sleep exactly
>give or take a few minutes
that's not what exactly means you brain dead mutant. i hope next time you go night nights you never wake up!
what's a smart cheat meal?
Why do people do deadlifts IN FRONT of a squat rack? Why not do it literally anywhere else? Fuck these people. Almost as bad as curling in a squat rack.
Because I'm not in anybodys way when I'm in front of the squat rack. The guy is in there squatting and I'm only taking up a little bit of space behind him.
Would you prefer if I just went in the middle of the gym, instead? Maybe in front of the DB rack?
I need to run 3.5 miles in at least 27 minutes by late May/early June. My last 3.5 mile run I ran in about 35:40. Any tips on how to shave off the extra time and get faster?
posting speedo photos on facebook trying to get 'dates', disgusting, completely disgusting.
>gf of 1 month has bmi of 23. Considered normal. Not obese but not the fittest
>hates that I judge what she eats and that I even calculated her bmi
>I count every calorie I put into my mouth. Have been doing it for over 3 years religiously
>gf says she's accepted that she will never be skinny. It's not part of her psychology
