Just ate my 500 kcal surplus for the day marking the first day of my bulk, right after ending my 8 month long cut that introduced me to fitness and lost me 50 pounds.

I just started working out recently and I'm alternating Couch to 5k (M-W-F) and SS (T-TH-S) but some people have been telling me that I'd actually be better off and lose more weight just lifting three days a week.
Is this true?

What supps are you guys taking? Favorite types of protein?
I like to take a protein blend in the morning and then whey post workout. Thinking of switching to Isolate once this bag of protein is gone and getting it from Myprotein.com What are their best flavors? I use Syntrax Matrix vanilla as my blend right now. It's whey, casein and egg albumin, I believe. two scoops minimum, brahs.

I've kinda read the sticky stuff so I know I'm going to get shit for this, but I'm gonna ask for help anyway.
Just got back from the Gym, its like the 4th time I've gone, and the first time I've remembered to actually note down what I'm doing.
All of the stuff I did was machine stuff, because I'm a fat fuck with leg problems and I'm afraid to actually use the free weights.
I decided to test my limits on the machines and I killed myself.

The starting strength wiki says that to find your starting weights, you keep loading the bar and doing some reps until the weight starts to "slow down." Thats the weight you start with and you add to it from there.
Machines suck total ass compared to compound barbell lifts. Replace them as soon as you can.
You should probably consult a doctor about your leg problems before lifting though. Squats and deadlifts are great exercises but some people just can't do them due to preexisting injuries.

weed though one of these days I will try some shrooms. Don't much care for alcohol, though a beer or two every now and then is fine, not a fan of hard liquor. Never tried any harder drugs and most likely wont, though I may try LSD
