Gain weight = lift + surplus
Lose weight = Calorie deficit
While technically true, there is far more that goes into it.
It would be like saying
Become rich doctor = study + go to med school

personally i use fish oil, beta alanine, creatine, and protein powder along with caffeine for a pre workout. i feel like bcaa's are kinda gimmicky
