Trying to boost my testosterone by eating healthy fats like monounsaturated and saturated. Any good suggestions?
Newish 2 /fit/
DYEL, skinnyfat status, sorry for bad pics
4 months in, 3 months with discipline.
Based on gym scale (however inaccurate)
This is coming from around (approx) 210, 23%-25% BF on scale, probably more. LM wasn't tracked from the start, earliest measurement was 44.4%
Cutting seems to be going okay, just looking to see if I'm making decent progress based on how long I've been working. Going to keep cutting until I like what I see. Still riding out some n00b gains...

This was probably about a year ago, but before I started I was at least the same, maybe worse.
Any feedback appreciated
is clean eating just a meme?
could fit please vote that fat women should not be wearing bikinis? thanks guys, we have to keep those fattys in place
If you think about it... bodybuilding is basically destroying your muscle fibers in order to look like a tumour.
I want all the reddit and tumblr fags to fucking leave my board RIGHT FUCKING NOW REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
sticky recommends doing about 2 weeks of maintenance after finishing a long cut. you guys haven any empirical or anecdotal evidence that this is beneficial, or is it just a theory?
I'm wondering this too. Soon coming off a cut.
>It's gonna be summer soon
>Toe nail fungus
I wont be able to show my gainz /fit/, help
Pretty sure that the OTC topical creams and stuff aren't particularly effective.
You'll likely need a course of oral anti fungals which can take a long time to work. I also have a toenail fungal infection and need to go see the doctor about it...
Cut off the toe. I did this when I had a recurring ingrown toenail. I had it corrected 5 times and then decided fuck it. Cut it off, went to ER, got on some pain meds, was fine in a week. There aren't any problems with balance btw that's a meme.
Nobody notices until I point it out either.
>one year lifting
What keeps you from an heroing, /fit/?
So I've been on a 20% (450Cal) cut for about 3 weeks now. I know to get optimal muscle growth for the major muscle groups (chest, back, legs) you should be eating at maintenance or above and perform ~30-60 reps per muscle group per week. If you don't eat at maintenance or above then you won't get the best, or maybe even no growth for these major muscle groups. I was wondering if small/minor muscle groups (biceps, forearms, abs, etc.) can still grow significantly on a cut, and the rep ranges required to do so. I have around 12 weeks left for this cut and would...

I know you probably don't have the attention span to read and understand any scientific research so I'll just link Scooby and Athlean-X:

Hey /fit/ I need help. Do you know of any good underwear, like boxers that can absorb sweat and ordor? I ask because I shower after my workouts, but if i sit for more than an hour my ass starts sweating and it smells fucking awful.
I've cleared rooms before because of this it's so fucking embarrassing.
Im doing a 8000 calories 3 days before a meet, 5500 2 days before and around 4k the day before.
the goal is to eat loads of carbs to make sure I got plently of energy on the platform.
How would you guys spend 8k calories?
Im thinking of something like.
Breakfast, a loaf of bred with butter and some meat on that.
Eat 1-2 packs of rice cakes during the day
Eat like 1kg of french fries, visit mcdonalds and order a double menu or something, eat rice and chicken, maybe some sliced potatoes before and eat like a bag of chips or whatever.
what would u guys eat?
I'm assuming you're not worried about making weight, right?
You actually shouldn't change your eating habits too much before any sporting event, just eat your usual diet to avoid any upsets or unplanned feelings. On meet day stick to lean proteins and quick carbs, sports drinks and whey is a good bet. You don't want to feel bloated or anything.
Basically, assuming you have full glycogen stores, overeating won't help you much, if at all and might hinder you.
yeah I'd really just suggest eating at a moderate surplus the week before, nothing too crazy.
definitely don't eat a ton of junk foods. fiber and fats too close to meet day, those will most likely leave you feeling funky.
So, manlets, if there was a pill that made you 6'1" tall but costed $5000, would you buy it?
It has no drawbacks and you'll grow out in 1-2 years, according to how turbo you are
Why must you tease me?
Why is Blaha the only not-gonna-maker on youtube?
I believe there's space for the typical fitizen: Lifter with a solid 5 years of lifting history and physique of a skinnyfat+.
He's on roids tho. He eats like shit and I don't he even lifts. He probably just juices and hits the gym 3x a week for 30minute deadlift sessions and that's.
What is /fit/'s opinion on this gym? I was thinking of joining up. It's a little more expensive than a normal gym but it does have a lot more to offer, I feel.
>it does have a lot more to offer
Will you use those extra things every week? If not, look for a bodybuilding/powerlifting gym in your area - no one there cares if you're a beginner and they're usually cheap as hell.
Sure a pool is nice but if you're going to use it twice a year, it's better to just pay to use a place with a pool when you want to.
I've had to stop taking whey protein as I can't handle the protein rage anymore.
At First I was able to bury the anger deep down, but now after a shake I'm finding myself getting into fights with random people in the street. If I drink it on my own, im punching the walls and breaking things. How is this stuff legal?
Since I've quit juicing the protein, I still find natural sources such as eggs get me quite annoyed.
How do you pro body lifters cope with protein rage?
Ever sense I started mixing my whey protein with soy milk instead of blood, not only have I stopped blacking out and waking up with blood on my hands, but I feel generally more serene. I also grew C cup breasts, which is kind of a mixed bag
